Chapter 5

.:.Wesley's POV.:.
As I pulled my car to a stop, I looked at the her apartment. How was I supposed to get her into her room. She was passed out.
"Uh, Thea? I need your key." I whispered, nudging her shoulder. She didn't budge one bit. I thought of where she would have a key, the most obvious place being her little hand bag thingy, whatever you call it, her purse. I carefully took it from her grasp and opened it, rummaging through the small space, finding her keys seconds later. I went the door and unlocked it, and tossed her purse on the bed. Leaving the door slightly opened, I ran back to the car. I picked her up bridal style and quietly pushed the door, careful not to hit her head on my way through the doorway.
As I placed her onto the bed, she rolled onto her side and stirred a bit before getting comfortable.
This girl was passed out like a light bulb. And she was pretty drunk too. I didn't want to leave her all alone tonight. I was a bit tipsy and I definitely shouldn't have been driving. Hell, I shouldn't even be able to drive home while I am like this. I decided i'd stay the night, considering I did drink and there were alot of police out this late at night.
I stood by the edge of the bed, watching her breathe, her chest rising and then falling. The air had turned on and she shivered a bit so I pulled the covers over her.
Why did I even care so much about her. She was just some girl I met almost a week ago.
I've even broken up with my girlfriend Carly, because of earlier at the party. She had seen me with some other girl, the other girl being Thea, and she thought I was cheating. I wasn't, and to be honest I was never happy in that relationship. I sound like some jerk, but I was glad I'm not trapped in that unhappy relationship anymore.
****Flashback to the party****
I placed Altheaa gently in her seat and locked the car.
"Yo Emmie. I'm takin' your friend home," I paused realizing that went the other way, "That's totally not what I meant. She wants to go home, and asked me so I'm taking her."
"Aren't you a little to tipsy to drive, it's not safe." She warned me.
"I'm fine, she drank a whole lot more than I thought she would." I laughed.
"Hey Wes, what the hell was that!" A fist came flying, hitting me in between my shoulder blades. I turn around to see Carly, all dolled up in a tight black dress. She was furious, that I was sure of.
"Carls, what are you doing here?" I asked, equally as puzzled as she was to my presence.
"I was invited! What are you doing here? And why are you with some other girl!" She shouted, catching the attention of bystanders from the party.
"We were also invi-" I was interrupted by a slap to my left cheek. I brought my hand up to my now throbbing cheek.
"You cheater!" She yells, crossing her arms and smirking as though she was the one who was right.
"I didn't cheat, I would never cheat and you know that. To be honest, I was happy at first, but it died out when you stopped trying. I just stayed to make you happy."I admitted. All expression in her face was lost, no words were spoken. Just a lost and now crushed Carly, standing before me.
"Bu- but. I-" A tear slipped down her cheek, realizing she was at fault all along.
"I'm sorry Carl's, but if you can never trust me, we're through." I raised my hands up in defense, backing away and headed back to my car. It now literally felt like I had air to breathe. Like I wasn't being suffocated anymore.
