Summary
Tyler is Josh's guardian angel.

"Don't do it." Tyler whispered into Josh's ear as he stared at the establishment ahead of the the two; an unsavoury bar in the worst part of town. Tyler knew that Josh was trying to drown his sorrows in alcohol but he didn't want him to.
"Don't go in there." Tyler whispered again, and Josh paused to listen. That voice burned in the back of his head, and he knew deep down that it wasn't the best choice. Tyler wished hat he could pull Josh away and take him back home, to tell him everything was fine and that he didn't need to drink to make it better, but his attempts would be wasted; and it seemed they were now.
Despite that voice deep down telling him not to, Josh took the first step towards the entrance. As opposed as he was to this, Tyler wasn't going to consider leaving Josh's side, and he followed right behind.
"Why a bar, Josh. A gay bar." Jealousy bubbled inside of Tyler like a boiling cauldron. He didn't want to see Josh going home for a one night stand and spending the following night depressed and alone again. If only Josh would listen to him. A night of pleasure wasn't worth the weeks of lonesomeness to follow.
Tyler looked around as they stepped inside, taking in all the faces under the dim lights. It wasn't too late, which meant that the place was still relatively empty. Josh took a seat at the bar and ordered a beer, while Tyler sat on the available seat next to him.
"I'm not enjoying this, Josh." Tyler grumbled, knowing that his voice was lost on Josh now. Josh took a sip from the alcoholic beverage placed before him while Tyler sat uncomfortably beside him. From what he could see, only one other person in here had a guardian. The other guardian was a woman in a white minidress, halo hovering over her head, sitting just as uncomfortably as Tyler. They both exchanged weak smiles before Tyler turned back to Josh. Someone had taken a seat next to him, and Tyler was mortified by it.
Quite a large guy who obviously worked out. Strong jaw, piercing eyes. He didn't look suspicious, but Tyler didn't think that he deserved Josh. Josh was so shy and reserved, thoughtful and sweet. Tyler himself didn't feel good enough to be around Josh, so he almost choked at he thought of this hooligan handling his precious Josh.
Both men turned to one another and nodded before the stranger ordered a beer as well. "Marty." The man extended a hand, which Josh shook casually. "Josh."
"Nauseas." Tyler added as he rested his jaw on his palm and let out a deep sigh, loud enough that everyone in there would hear him but nobody did; apart from the other guardian who chuckled at him when he turned to see her.
Tyler tried hard to tune out their conversation and focused instead on the softly beating EDM currently reverberating through the bar. Time had passed, and people had come and go. Night time had birthed and was followed by a lot more customers and much louder music. The dim lights had been replaced by constantly flashing luminous colours and the dance floor had become a cess pool of gyrating bodies in an orgy of sexual rhythm.
Josh and Marty had been getting on well enough, and Tyler told himself to be okay with it. It always hurt for him to see Josh with other people, but he would never be resentful for it. Loving Josh, regardless of how unaware of his existence Josh was, was fine for Tyler.
