Love

1st Corinthians 13:13 "the most important things to have is faith hope and love but the greatest of these is love."

If you can play the violin like an angel, yet do not love others you sound like a screeching radio. If you can sing like an angel, but hate your brother your voice is no better than nails being dragged along a chalkboard. The point is no matter how ridiculously amazing you are at something or what out of this world talent you have, if you don't have love it means nothing.
We need to love each other that is the only way we will succeed to our highest potential in life. God made us to worship him, but also to love and care for one another. It is hard to be selfless many times, but it is the effort that counts. If you just take that first step God will carry you the rest of the way, but you just have to take that leap of faith first because God can't force you. I want to be like Jesus because Jesus is love. What are some of the things Jesus did his expressed love?

· Stood in the line and wait his turn.

. He helped others before himself

. He was patient (continues to be patient with us even now when we sin. He is so merciful!)

. He never judged others especially not by appearance.

. He stood up for others 

. He was kind even to those who hated him. 

. You have Jesus, the king of the universe at your right hand unconditionally.

· He never gave up on us even when we gave up on him time and time again.

· Protected you and me.

· He took your place.

· He died for you

· He felt your pain

· He put others first

· He looked for the good in others

· Gave you life

· Woke you up this morning

· Sacrificed his immortality

And I could go on and on. God is a good God don't you think so? God not only loves to you and me but he loves ever single person on this earth regardless of nationality, age, race, appearance. He is so fullnof love that nothing you do or say could ever make him love you any less. Let us look at Exodus 2:1-10 the story of Moses. God kept Moses safe while the guards were killing all the male babies as per the command of the king. Mouse's mother placed him in a basket and sailed it along the river Nile. The princess, Pharoah's daughter was by the river and saw the basket which held the baby Moses and realized that a baby was in it. His mother even got paid to raise her own son, who later grew up in the care and love of the Egyptains, but above all Moses was safe. God kept Moses safe because he loved him. God loves you no matter what and nothing you do will ever stop or hinder his unconditional love for you. So no matter the situation you're in now just hold on and trust God because he has a plan for your life, don't give up! Don't give in! Just hold on a little longer and just like Moses God will keep you safe, he will work everything out. Just have faith and trust in him.

So today if you see someone sad give them a cheerful smile. Or if you see someone in danger don't be afraid to help them, cast away all fear and help that person. It is in giving that we receive. Give love and you will receive love. Even when you do not receive love back, continue to give love because God does not stop loving us even when we fail him he continues to love us and protect us each and every day. THANK YOU JESUS!

Dear God,
Help us to be loving and kind to one another. Help us to worship you and praise you today. Remove our stone cold hearts lord and give us soft and loving hearts. Be with us today I pray in Jesus name. Amen.
