Your best is not always the best
psalm16:5-6
"Lord, you alone are my portion and my cup; you make my lot secure. The boundary lines have fallen for me in pleasant places; surely I have a delightful inheritance."
Be open to suggestions and insights. You are not always right we all learn from each other, Even your own children no matter how young. Have you at any point in time felt embarrassed when someone your age or younger told you something and you said "That is rubbish and nothing goes like that"; but in the long run you find out that they were actually speaking something sensible? Well, that happened to me twice and it was beyond humiliating.
Some time ago while I was at church one evening, I was conversing with a young girl around 4 years old about how many times she has been admitted to the hospital. She said to me that once she was admitted to the hospital for gastroenteritis, but I laughed at her thinking that there was no such thing. I even asked her if she meant gas, but she said no she meant gastroenteritis. on my way home I questioned my mother about the word and she said there was such a word and as she explained I felt the guilt and embarrassment drown me. I felt stupid because I laughed at her for her "foolishness" when it was me who was really being foolish.
What would have been the right thing for me to have done? Well, I should have clarified her statement before I went ahead accusing her that she made something up. Because we can learn things from each other no one is smarter or smartest we are all intelligent human beings.
In order to know what is the best way ask God and be willing to accept it. I know that sometimes we think that our plan is best, but many times our plan is not the best. Why should I ask God what way is best? He knows the future he knows what will happen if you go it this way or that way, also he always seeks to do what is best for you.
A plan without Jesus is the worse plan ever and a plan with Jesus is the most perfect plan. Include God in your best so that his best can be your best and your best can be the best. Your best can never be the best without Jesus.
