Proverbs 15;5, ;10-12

What benefit? The benefit from ridicule and critism. Critics are never always to hurt and insult you many times there are to help you.

One day your friend says you are selfish. How do you react? Do you curse? Defend or justify yourself?walk away? ask her/him why she/he said that? look in to yourself?
Or tell him/her that he/she is selfish too?

Don't answer me just yet take a look at your past when you were placed in situations like this and recall how you reacted. I am not predicting that that is how you would react I don't know you, but you know yourself.

Be wise take correction. You should love when others criticize you. Bevause that way you can hear what their opinions are of you and you can work on them to be a better person. Never forget to pray about them that God will work on you so can live in harmony with each other and bring others to know him, and glorify him, Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior.

LET US GET ONE THING CLEAR THOUGH! SOMEONE TELLING YOU THAT YOU ARE WORTHLESS, OR UGLY, OR FAT OR ANOREXIC OR DISGUSTING, OR WHAT NOT IS NOT HEALTHY CRITICS, BUT INSULTS AND SHOULD BE IGNORED. THERE IS A BIG DIFFERENCE BETWEEN CRITICISM AND INSULTS.

Criticism also helps you for future opinions, that others will pose. Your opinion is not always my opinion but that doesn't mean I should stuff my opinion down your throat so you can swallow it and accept it. That is not the right thing to do, but what is?
The right thing to do is to respect their opinions just the same as you would love them to respect yours. What if they don't respect mine should I respect theirs? Always! no matter how stupid, illogical, unethical or ridiculous it sounds it should be respected. A soft answer turns away wrath, but grievous words stir up anger. When you maintain your standard they eventually will relax and maybe understand and accept where you are coming from, but you need to maintain your standard despite the urge to do the opposite.

Your standard is what defines you. The highest and most incredible level of definition is when your standard is God's standard. Let God be the role model that you talk to all day, long to tell your secrets to and have faith in.
