Chapter Twenty: They Escaped

         My heart is beating loudly. The thought that Mr. Kruegre was dead is making me weak. He's our guardian here, our savior but now that he's dead, I'm afraid of what's gonna happen.

We started our plan of escaping. Billy was the one who guided us. We went out of Alex and followed Billy. When we were about to go through the woods, I saw Froye talking to Alex. I merely forgot that if we'll escape here we'll left Alex here  all alone. Froye was crying and we all understand it. It's so hard to left Alex here too, I thought. Even if he's not alive, even if he's only a building, I know he's there and he's one of our friends. We all said goodbye to Alex.

"I know he's sad," Froye said. "Yes, but he'll also be happy if we'll escape here and be safe," Billy said and started walking.

After a while, we all followed Billy. The Dome was so silent but it's just a normal day for the rest of the students who don't know what's happening here.

"The forcefield that walled the Dome was made by Mr. Edward Wassenger. He's the one who could help us escape," Billy said.

We went from room to room to find Mr. Wassenger. We stopped on Room 148 where we heard a man shouting.

"I didn't tell them anything Madame!" shouted by a familiar voice.

"Too late Chris, no more Kruegre who can save you now. Kill him!" Madame Gomez commanded and we all heard a loud bang.

Oil jolted and Paul covered her mouth. We were all shocked and frightened. I'm about to cry because in just a sudden, Mr. Renn was dead.

"Find these kids Roman! Find them and kill them before they could escape!" Madame Gomez said angrily to her head guard.

Billy made a sign to us that we should run and we did. We went into the Upper Class office and fortunately Mr. Wassenger was there.

Suddenly, there was an announcement in the whole campus.

"Pedagogues, please proceed to the central office for an urgent meeting".

The pedagogues went outside the office and because Mr. Wassenger was the last to go outside, we all grabbed him. He was so shocked and very confused.

"Don't make a mistake of using your powers to us Mr. Wassenger," Billy said.

"Billy? What are you doing? What do you want from me?!" Mr. Wassenger said.

"It's a very important matter sir and I believed it's not good to discuss it here," Froye said decently.

We looked for buildings that has no guards lurking around. Billy pointed the Exertion Chamber and we all followed him. We are silently but alertly walking through the campus, afraid that we'll get caught.

Luckily, we arrived at the invisible Exertion Chamber. We all went inside and happy that there were no students in there. Billy locked the door so that no one will interrupt us. I remembered it's friend's  first  time to be here inside. They were amazed with the exercise equipments and the energy of the place.

"Now Billy, what is so important to talked to? You are one of my brilliant students but what did we have here?" Mr. Wassenger said.

"It's a long story Mr. Wassenger, how about I'll give you a little synopsis. We wanted to know how to escape this prison you made," Billy said.

"What? Why did you call this a prison? It's a school Billy!" Mr. Wassenger said.

"No! Madame Gomez will kill us! We have to escape!" Eva shouted.

"Are you kidding me kid? Why would that lovely lady do that to you?!" he replied.

"I guess you were blinded of the things you saw in here," I said and started locating his alcohol level. Paul went unseen because he camouflaged with the wall. Eva is starting to hurt him mentally. Oil was about to shake the ground and Radar is starting to strengthen his radiations. Suddenly, Billy stopped us and the tension went down.

"Stop it, he doesn't know anything. Just be calm. He's the only one who could save us," Billy said.

"You're Lower Class, why? how did you all do that?" Mr. Wassenger asked frightened.

"We maybe Lower Classes only but we can be stronger than you thought," Paul said while making himself visible.

"We're telling the truth Mr. Wassenger, Madame Gomez is planning something very bad, she killed Mr. Renn already and I'm afraid this is the last time we can stand," Billy said.

"OK Bill, I believed in you son. If you wanted to be out of here, or you wanted to escape, I'll help you. There's a part of the Dome that the forcefield cannot enclosed to each other. It is where the pedagogues enter and exit in here. It can be found at the back of the buildings, passed through the woods," Mr. Wassenger said.

"Thank you sir," I said. "Just be careful, The outside is more dangerous now than here in the Dome," he added.

We all went running and looking at our backs, scared that some guards will caught us. Billy contacted Jane and the others. Jane said they'll meet us on the passage between the Dome and the outside. We arrived at the passage and it was amazing. It looked like a ruined wall with a hole but in a force field barrier.

Jane and her teammates arrived. "This is your one last chance, Good luck on the outside. Billy will be coming with you guys," Jane said.

"What? You're not coming with us?" I asked. "No Jack, we have to stay here. We have to help the others. We have to stop Madame Gomez. One day will see each other again," she said and kissed me. "I'll come back for you," I whispered in her ear.

Suddenly, the guards were there. The scene was frozen. I was so disappointed. I wish we went out immediately before these guards came. There were plenty of them. They grabbed us forcedly. I could not use my powers like the others. I saw the devil, Madame Gomez, this time we are all so fucked up.

"Let them go, just let them go. Now!" Madame Gomez commanded. The guards did it, Jane nodded to us and we all went running to the outside.
