Chapter 15: We Hang out With The Oracle

I didn't sleep much more that night, obviously. It wasn't nice. How could that be? Me? A Dreamer? I didn't even know what that was! Early in the morning I woke Elizabeth, who at least slept well, and we ate breakfast, and wandered the streets of the town. It was quiet. Nobody was awake yet.

''So what are we doing?'' Asked Elizabeth.

''We're going to see what the Oracle wants to tell us, and then we're going to go wherever we have to go.''

''I don't trust him.''

''Me neither, but perhaps he can help us.'' We were silent for a while.

''Are we going now?''

''Nah. We've got a morning to ourselves. Nobody to bother us. Let's enjoy it. It's been a hard week.''

We went and checked out some of the shops. I bought some new travelling clothes, since mine were not in good condition, and some maps, which didn't help very much, but what the heck. Elizabeth buys some stuff, which she refuses to show me. Elizabeth and I studied the map, which didn't really show the area we were heading.

''You'd think they'd put a map showing us the route to the Capitol of Altaria...''

''Indeed.''

Finally, out of boredom, and sheer desperation for something to do, we go to the Oracle's place. I look out, hoping I don't get attacked by another dude. Coast clear. We enter the Oracle's room, and he immediately faces us.

''Greetings.''

''Hi there.''

''You wish to hear what I have to say?''

''Yes.''

''Very well. Like I said. You are to pass through the Thunder Seas, just out of town. Then to the Permafrost Peaks. You will find a friend there. Then to the Chasm Caves. Beware. It is easy to wander astray and it is a dark place. Finally the Forest of Eternality, in which all who enter sleep eternally.''

''Sounds great!''

''Do not fret. There are ways to overcome it. Here. Take this map.'' He hands me a map. I examine it. It's a map showing the route from here to Zaria.

''Thank you.''

''You seem troubled. Is there something you wish to tell me? Perhaps I may be able to help.'' He was talking about the dreams. He knew.

''How do I keep him out of my head?'' Elizabeth turns to me.

''What are you talking about?''

''I'll tell you later.'' The Oracle chuckles.

''Now with that I can help. Follow me.'' There's a door to the back of the room. We enter it.

''What are we going to do.''

''He faces me and waves his hand.

''Sleep...'' And everything goes black...

Hey guys! Sorry for the late update. It's well needed. Just been busy with school and other writing projects and such. It's also a little short.
