Chapter 20: Freeze!

I grabbed the bucket that happened to be on the boat and started scooping water out of the boat. We were almost underwater, and I don't think I could swim all the way to the mountains, so scooping out water it is!

Finally, all the water is out. I set my sights on the mountains, and control thw inds to push us in the direction, which is much easier without an angry strom spirit.

''Isn't it beautiful?'' Asks Elizabeth. It is. The light from the sunrise glitters off the snowy mountains, creating an array of colours.

''It is.'' I realize that the water must be frozen near the Permafrost Peaks.

''Get ready. We're almost there.''

''There?''

''The water's going to be frozen.''

''Oh, fun.''

I wonder what we'll encounter there. Probably nothing all that great. Nothing that comes our way usually is. Wolves, the weather, the Abominable Snowman...

The boat hits the ice with a clunk, and we climb out.

''Really fun...''

I look, and all I can see is miles and miles of snow, ice, and mountains. It would be easy to get lost, or freeze to death, or... just die...

''Ready?'' I ask.

''Let's do this.''

I can only imagine what awaits us here...
