It took forever, but we finally pulled up to this nice looking house. It had two doors in the front, two sets of windows, and little concrete steps going to the door on the left. (Picture at the top)

The driver pulled up to it and said, "We're here." I said, "Thank you for the ride." Yeah thanks for bringing me away from my family.

He said, "Your welcome." I got out of the car and got my suitcases out of the trunk. I knocked on the front door while the car disappeared.

A man came and said, "Hi my names Mr. Rodney, and these are the boys." Rodney sounds like Johnny.

Mr. Rodney pointed to each of them and said, "This is Patrick, Michael, Ethan, and Carter. Boys, this is Ponyboy."

I smiled and said, "It's nice to meet you guys, call me Pony." They started laughing, and I think it was Patrick who said, "That's not a name, that's an animal."

Mr. Rodney said, "Patrick, it's his name." I found out Carter and Ethan are older than me but not by much.

Mr. Rodney said, "Ponyboy, you will be sharing a room with Michael. Michael I want you to show him around and make sure he understands what to do."

Michael said, "Yes sir." Mr. Rodney said, "If there's anything I can do for you Pony just let me know." I said, "Yes sir."

Michael showed me up to our room it wasn't very big, but it wasn't that small either. Michael said, "So, Pony is that your real name? I'm just curious."

I smiled and said, "Yeah it is my dad was original with picking my name out. I got a brother named Sodapop even says so on his birth certificate, but he wants people to call him Soda."

He said, "Wow that's cool! Where are you from?" I said, "Tulsa, Oklahoma, how about you?" He smiled and said, "I used to live in Florida. Oh, how I miss the beach and the ocean and when me and my sisters would go surfing."

I said, "So, you have sisters?" He looked down, and I knew I had made a mistake. I quickly said, "If you don't want to answer you don't have to." He said, "No, it's fine. It's just that they were kidnapped when I was four years old, and I have never saw them again."

I said, "Oh, I'm sorry. My parents were killed in a car wreck not too long ago." I let a tear slip from my eye thinking about them.

He said, "It's ok. I know it hurts. After my sisters were kidnapped, my parents started getting tougher. So, I'm not scared of anything." Huh, he sounds like Dally. I wiped away the year quickly.

I said, "So, what if a snake was in this house, and you were the only person who knew?" He said, "I would grab it by the tail, and I would bite his neck off!"

I said, "Wow, you are brave." He said, "Yeah, after what my parents put me through nothing can hurt me anymore." I felt sorry for this kid. Sure, Dally is only fourteen but this kid is like seven years old. He doesn't need that kind of parenting!

He said, "So, Pony on the weekends Mr. Rodney gives us free days, and since tomorrow is Saturday, I was wondering if you wouldn't mind to teach me how to play football?"

I said, "You don't know how to play?" He said, "No, I don't. I get teased by the older boys because I don't, and I want to learn." I said, "Of course, I'll teach you." He said, "Great."

I said, "So, Michael what do you guys do here for fun?" He said, "Mr. Rodney is so awesome! He lets us order pizza and we get to eat ice cream and watch tv on the weekends until midnight!"

I said, "Wow, that does sound awesome!" Mr. Rodney sure doesn't sound like Darry. He said, "Yeah it is, but the boys think it's weird to do that kind of stuff, so they go to sleep early." Poor kid, he has to have fun by himself and where's the fun in that?

We talked for a couple of more hours about the rules here and about each other. Than, it was 8:00 so I decided to go to bed. I looked over to see Michael already asleep.

I picked him up and laid him down on his bed and watched him smile in his sleep. I got into my covers and let my dream take over me. I just didn't know what the dream would be about, and now I wish I never had it.

Thanks for Reading! Hope you enjoyed Ponyboy's new life. I'm sorry if these chapters don't seem creative. It's kind of hard to arrange three different houses and three different routines. Hope you are loving it so far. Next I am going to do The gang's POV of what it is around the house without Scar, Pony, or Soda. Hope you love it.
