You Saved Me

(Scar's POV)

The next day, I woke up pretty early. Everyone else was up, but I usually sleep in. I heard my name coming from the living room.

So, I opened my door and quietly shut it. I listened to what they said. Johnny looked at Pony and said, "Pony, do you think Scar will ever be back?" What in the world is he talking about? I'm right here!

Pony shrugged and said, "Hopefully, she will. I don't like this new tough girl she thinks she is." Darry said, "She's getting too complicated." Soda said, "Let's just be glad we're all together now, right Darry?"

He looked at Soda and didn't say a word. Soda said, "Darry, what are you thinking?" He said, "I'm thinking about how it was when Scar was in that girls home."

Soda said, "Your better now that she's home right?" Darry just shrugged. He's not happy that I'm back? I opened the front door and slammed it shut, and now they will know that I was listening the whole time.

I went to the park. I sat on the swings and I don't know why, but I started crying. Once the tears started dropping, they wouldn't stop! I got up off the swing and decided to take a walk and get fresh air.

I started walking towards The Dingo, when I saw a red Mustang pull up next to me. I looked at the five guys as they got out of the car.

I said, "What are you guys looking for?" One of them said, "Trouble." I said, "Your looking at her." They started laughing and another one said, "Get her." I'm totally not scared. I said, "Oh no I'm going to get hurt!"

The lead Soc said, "Don't worry. We'll go easy on you." I smiled and said, "Good." I punched him right in the jaw. He fell to the ground and said, "What was that?"

I said, "It doesn't mean I'll go easy on you now does it?" I kicked the other guy that was behind him in the gut. He leaned down, and I shoved him to the ground.

The last three surrounded me I dodged their kicks and punches and threw some of my own. One of the Socs kicked me in the ribs too hard, and I fell to the ground.

Someone familiar came running up and started hurting the Socs. But who was it? I turned to my left to see no other than Dallas Winston. I smiled to myself.

When I tried to stand up, my ribs started to hurt. So, I just laid down, and watched Dally take them all out.

He finally got done and held down a hand for me to take, but I declined. I said, "No thanks, Dal. I think one of them broke my ribs." He said, "That's ok. I got this." He picked me up (bridal style) and carried me to the park where I was before.

He set me down on the grass, and I finally got the courage to sit up even though it hurt like heck! I looked over at him, and he was sitting down beside me.

I said, "Why did you do that?" He said, "What? Hurt the Socs?" I nodded, and he said, "Because I can do whatever I want I'm Dallas Winston." I said, "Mmhm sure." He said, "Ok fine, I saw them hurting you, and I had to make sure you were alright."

I smiled and said, "Dallas you saved me. If you didn't show up, I would be on the ground because of my ribs, and they would have beaten me. Your my hero."

He looked me in the eyes and said, "Scar, can I tell you something?" I nodded my head telling him to go on. He said, "Ok well, I like you and..." I cut him off by hugging him and that hurt but it was worth it.

He didn't hug back, and I didn't think he would but I was hoping. He's Dallas Winston the only time he has ever hugged me was probably when I was leaving to go to that awful girls home.

When I let go, we looked into each other's eyes, and I don't know where I got the confidence from, but I kissed him. The girl had to make the first move of course. To my surprise, he kissed back. 

(Dally's POV)

Wow, I'm so confused? But, she kissed me so I kissed back. I didn't want her to think that I didn't like her after I told her I just did.

When she let go, I asked, "Will you be my girl?" She said, "Yes, I will. We can tell my brothers if you want, I don't really care for what they have to say."

I said, "Let's go and tell them." I figured now would be ok. It's not like they could split us up. I'm Dallas Winston I get what I want.

(Scar's POV)

We started heading to my house to tell them. I'm freaking out! He wants to tell them now? Why can't we just wait a few days. He opened the door for me, and I thanked him and walked in.

They were all here, the whole gang. They were eating lunch in the kitchen. I still haven't forgave Darry for saying what he said this morning.

When Dally closed the door, Darry arose from his seat and yelled, "Where were you, kid?!" I said, "The park, the Dingo, and then the park again." He said, "And you couldn't have called?!" I yelled back, "Darry, don't get mad at me just yet!"

He looked confused. I grabbed Dally's hand and said, "We're together?" My three brother looked white as a ghost, Johnny smiled probably happy for Dally, and Two-bit and Steve kept eating.

Darry looked at me and said, "Scar, no just no. This is not happening." I said, "Yeah, I'm seeing him, and there's nothing you guys can do about it."

Soda came by me and pulled me away from Dally. Soda said, "Dally what about Sylvia?" I looked at Dally and before he could answer I said, "Sylvia?" Ponyboy stood up and said, "Yeah, Dally's been dating her for about a year."

I looked at Dally and said, "No, I want to hear it myself." He said, "We were dating, but I caught her two-timing me again." I said, "Thank you."

Darry looked at me and said, "Go to your room and get used to it because your going to be spending a long time in there."

I said, "Oh and by the way, I was attacked by some Socs and I think my rib is broken, but don't worry Dally saved me." Pony muttered, "Of course he did." Darry said, "I'll be in your room in a second." I said, "Whatever."

I kissed Dally's cheek before I went in my room. Hey, I got nothing to lose! Soon, Darry came in and yelled at me while fixing my ribs. He finally said, "He left, and Scar you can't see him anymore."

I said, "Yes, I can and there's nothing you can do about it." He said, "I'm your legal guardian and what I say goes." I said, "But that's unfair!" He said, "Life's unfair." He left my room and I opened my window ready to find Dallas.
