Salma's POV

I was just telling all the girls about how me and my boyfriend just broke up. I caught him the other night with another Soc.

Until, the door slowly opened up. Was someone listening in on our conversation?

I looked at the new girl as she was carrying so much luggage. I quickly got up off the bed and said, "Here let me help you!"

The girl looked at me and said, "I have hands I can take care of myself." I slowly went and sat back on the bed.

Phoenix looked over at the girl disgusted and said rudely, "Who are you and what exactly do you think your doing here?"

Lanee looked at her and said, "Phoenix, be nice. She's Salma's new roommate remember?"

Phoenix rolled her eyes and said, "She's more like trash to me." She got up off the bed, went to the door, and threw one suitcase of our guests down the hall.

I quickly ran to go get it and brought it back in the room. As soon as I did, I saw that girl on top of Phoenix about to hit her.

I slowly brought her back, and pulled her up. I said, "Ok look I am so sorry about Phoenix I know she can be a bit rude."

I heard her say 'pfhhh' but anyways I continued, "But I just wanted to introduce myself. My names Salma Jefferson."

The girl grabbed a suitcase and started folding her clothes putting them in either a drawer or a closet.

She finally said, "My names Scarlet but everyone calls me Scar. I come from Tulsa."

Oh my gosh! She comes from Tulsa? That's the roughest place there is on earth! Poor thing...I looked at all my friends as they looked at me thinking the same thing.

I said, "Well, I'm going to be your new roommate. These are my friends that's Lanee, Holly, Kaitlin, and you already met Phoenix.

Phoenix growled a low growl. Scarlet didn't say anything just continued to unpack.

I looked at the girls and then back at Scar and said, "Scarlet, we will be right back if you need anything just call me."

I grabbed a pen out of my night drawer and a piece of paper writing down my phone number and laid it on her bed.

She said, "I'll be fine." Holly turned around before leaving and said, "Goodbye Scar, it was nice to meet you."

Then the rest of the girls added on "Bye" "Later" "Cya Around"
I closed the door to our room and could not stop thinking about Scarlet.

Once we got on the elevator, I looked at Phoenix and popped her upside the head. She rubbed it and said, "Ow what was that for?"

I said, "Because Scarlet is from Tulsa. We don't need to give her any trouble and you two almost were about to hit each other on her first day!"

She shrugged and said, "Well, she asked for it." I said, "Well, for now on be nice to her and try to act friendly."

Kaitlin chimed in, "Yeah, guys remember how I was. I came from Tulsa as well and everybody made fun of me but once I met y'all, you guys changed me, and now I'm a better person."

Holly said, "We just have to show kindness to her and be nice and invite her to everything we do."

The elevator stopped and we all got off. I turned towards all of them and suggested, "Hey guys, since I have a new roommate why don't we go to Uptown Swirl you know the new frozen yogurt place down town? My treat."

They all became excited and we took my new Stinger across the street to it. I ordered the chocolate sprinkled with nuts, Holly got the cotton candy, Kaitlin got blueberry, Lanee ordered Mango, and Phoenix got Strawberry.

We all have our favorites. Before we left, I ordered one more for Scarlet. I don't know which is her favorite flavor,

So I just picked one with Kaitlin and took it home I was very excited Scarlet and I will be roommates!

I took my chocolate covered nuts froyo, Scarlet's surprise froyo, and myself to our dorm room. Hopefully, she will accept my friendship request.
