Sandy's Back (Part 1)

After work, Soda did as he said and we signed me up for the competition. The place was called The Voice.

He grabbed one of the fill out sheets for my audition. Soda said, "Full name?" I said, "Scarlet Marie Curtis." He said, "Age?" I said, "Six." He said, "Ok, what do you want to sing?"

I thought about it for a minute and than said, "I want to sing my favorite song which is Girl On Fire." He said, "I like it when you sing that too."

I smiled very big and started to hum it. I turned around and immediately stopped. Who I saw made my heart stop...Sandy?

She smirked at me and said, "You know this competition is for people who can sing, not for people who can't." I said, "That's why I think you should leave."

She lowered her head to look into my eyes and said, "Who do you think you are?" I said all sassy, "I think I am the winner of the karaoke competition and your not."

She said, "Well, it's gonna take a lot for you to beat this." She waved her hand in front of her face. I was about to kick her when Soda said, "Sandy, get out of here."

She tilted her head and said, "Soda, baby, why do you want me gone?" He said, "Because you cheated on me and threatened my sister, you piece of trash."

She said, "Well, at least this piece of trash can sing!" Ha, she called herself trash. She turned her head dramatically and walked off.

(Hours After)

We told the gang after we left, and they were excited and happy for me. I just want to make them proud. The auditions are almost over, and I guess I'm the one before the last.

I'm the youngest competitor in this competition. Most of the gang hasn't ever heard me sing. They guy behind the curtain said, "Scar, they're ready for you."

I smiled and said, "Thanks." Soda was with me during the time and he said, "Break a leg." I frowned and said, "Why would you want me to break a leg?"

He started laughing and said, "No, Princess, it means good luck." I said, "Oh, well thanks." The same guy behind the curtain led me to the stage.

The judges backs were turned so they couldn't see me, but I was ready to sing. The music started and I sung,

"She's just a girl and she's on fire.
Hotter than a fantasy, longer like a highway. She's living in a world, and it's on fire, feeling the catastrophe, but she knows she can fly away. Oh, Ohhh, she got both feet on the ground and she's burning it down.

Everybody stands as she goes by cause they can see the flame that's in her eyes. Watch her when she's lightning up the night. Nobody knows that she's a lonely girl, and it's a lonely world. But she gon' let it burn, baby, burn, baby

(Video at the Top) All four chairs turned around, and I was so happy. Everyone stood up and clapped even the judges. I smiled really big and said, "Thank you."

When everyone sat back down, one of the judges say, "What's your name?" I said, "Scarlet Marie Curtis, but my friends call me Scar." I looked at the gang and they were all smiling, and Soda was crying.

He said, "Hi I'm Zack Michael. How old are you?" I said, "6." He said, "Wow, you know I think people around your age start young, but you were perfect."

I smiled and said, "Thank you." Than, a lady that was a judge said, "Hi Scar, I'm Sarah Wilson, and you know what?" I said, "What?" She said, "Your going to Hollywood." My eyes went big and
I said, "Wow! I want to thank my three older brothers, and our gang. I love you guys."

Everyone in the audience starting awwwing except for one, Sandy.
Zack said, "We will see you there Scar." I said, "Ok goodbye." He said, "Bye."

I walked to the back to be hugged by everyone. Soda was still crying. I said, "I get to go to Hollywood, and I get to become an amazing singer!"

Soda said, "Yeah, I'm proud of you Princess." I said, "Thanks, Soda." Two-bit said, "I didn't know you could sing like that. You were awesome!" Everyone agreed.

It was time for the last singer, Sandy. I stopped everyone from leaving and said, "Guys, I wanna watch her." Soda said, "Are you sure?" I nodded my head. She sang Grenade by Bruno Mars.

She hit the notes, didn't mess up, and wasn't off key, she was good. She's going to Hollywood with me. She came backstage and said, "And that is how you become the star."

She turned around and tripped on the stairs and I said, "Yep, you sure showed me." The gang all laughed while she was madder than ever! I am going to become a star!
