The Gang's POV

(Darry's POV)

It's only been one day, but we all miss Scar, Soda, and Pony so much! We miss how Scar would cheer us up, how Soda would tell us about work, and how Pony would just keep us company talking about the latest book or movie he's seen or read.

Everyone was quiet. Not a single sound in the house, that was until Dally walked inside.

(Two-bit's POV)

Man, I sure do miss the three of them! It's not the same. I don't even feel like watching Mickey anymore.

I might go meet Kathy somewhere and try to get my mind off this whole mess. No, that won't work. I'll never forget them. Anyways, it was all quiet in the house, until Dally walked in.

(Steve's POV)

Boy, do I miss Soda. Yeah, I guess you could say that I kind of miss Pony and Scar to, but not as much as I do Soda! He's my best friend.

Nobody acts the same when they're not here. Like how Dally just came in here. It was peaceful until he barged in here.

(Johnny's POV)

I miss Ponyboy and Scar. I really miss Soda to, but I miss how me and Pony would go see a movie, and how Scar and me would play with each other.

I miss how we all used to be: loud, happy, and not depressed. I was walking with Dally, and it seemed like he didn't have a care in the world about them being gone.

He was all happy, and telling me about this girl he met at Bucks. He's only fourteen, but he still manages to get in there.

(Dally's POV)

I don't really want to admit it, but I miss them. But hey I got Johnny, and I'm glad he's here. I hope he never leaves me.

I was at Bucks the other night talking to this thirteen year old girl. She was a real cute blond. Everything was awesome last night.

Me and Johnny were headed to the Curtis house, and I was telling him about my night with um I forgot her name, anyways it looked like he was paying attention.

We arrived at the Curtis house, and Johnny followed closely behind me. I opened the door to see Darry, Steve, and Two-bit not doing anything.

I went over by Two-bit on the couch and shook him and said, "Wake up, Two-bit." He said, "Stop it, Dally!"

I started laughing and said, "Ok whatever. Oh can I tell you guys about last night?" Darry said, "I'm not in the mood." Everyone agreed with him.

I said, "Fine whatever." Two-bit looked at me and asked, "Do you even care that there gone?"

I hesitantly said, "Life goes on guys. Scar, Pony, and Soda are at a boy and girls home, and they do not care. They probably have forgotten us."

Darry tackled me to the ground and started punching me over and over. He kept saying, "Never talk about them like that!"

Johnny had to give him the puppy dog face and said, "Please let him go, Darry...for me." He stopped hitting me and looked up to see Johnny.

He got off me and said, "Sorry, I lost my cool." I said, "It's alright, man. It's not like that's never happened to me."

Everyone remained to there quiet selves. They were being more quieter than Johnny. I went out on the front porch to smoke.

(Johnny's POV)

I had to stop Darry from hitting Dally. After he finally stopped hitting him, he apologized and said he lost his cool. Dally went outside I think to smoke, and I followed him.

I said, "Dal, do you care that Pony, Soda, and Scar are gone?" He hesitantly said, "Yeah Johnny, I miss them. I guess I just wanted to keep my rep. you know?"

I nodded my head. I said, "You don't have to keep your rep. for me. I don't care how you act around me, you'll still be my hero." He smiled and hugged me.

He said, "Thanks Johnny. I guess Scar was right. It doesn't feel right to have the gang sad and depressed, even though they are away life does go on."

I said, "Yeah, she's a very smart girl for her age." He said, "Just like Pony, but a slight difference Scar can use her head." We both laughed at that.
