The Fight

(Scar's POV)

I was woken by Miss Ashley yelling, "Get up, Get up ladies!" Alyssa jumped up from her bed and stretched. She said, "Good morning Scar. Sleep well?"

I smiled and nodded my head. She said, "Good. C'mon let's go downstairs and eat breakfast." She held out her hand, and I took it.

Alyssa made me feel safe. Sort of like how Soda did when the Socs threatened me. Hand in hand we walked downstairs to eat.

Breakfast was unique. We had ham, oatmeal, blueberries, and chocolate milk. No chocolate cake and of course I don't drink it, but Two-bit usually drinks beer in the morning.

After we were done eating, Miss Ashley said, "Ok girls. Now, go brush your teeth and get ready."

Faith ran to the bathroom first. I'm next I think. I went into my room and got my toothbrush out of the drawer beside my bed.

When I came out with it, Faith was already done. I went into the bathroom and did my teeth, and smiled in front of the mirror. All white!

I put my toothbrush where everyone else's were and headed back to mine and Alyssa's room. She was already in there, but she was crying.

I think I can help. I went over to her bed side and hugged her not even knowing what was wrong. She hugged me back tightly.

When she let go, I asked, "What's wrong?" She rubbed the tears out of her eyes and said, "Miss Ashley told me that I forgot to do the dishes last night, so she took away the bracelet my mom gave me."

I said, "Do you want me to get it back for you?" She looked at me shocked and said, "You would get in trouble if you got caught."

I said, "But that bracelet meant a lot to you. I don't want you to be sad." She smiled and said, "Thanks Scar." I smiled and said, "No problem. I'll get it back tonight. Oh and by the way it's your turn to brush your teeth, and I got to get dressed."

She said, "Oh right. Sorry." I said, "It's ok." She left, and I got dressed into blue jeans with a belt and a blouse Soda got me for my birthday one year.

Oh my gosh that reminds me. My birthday is tomorrow! I have to tell Alyssa, so we can do something fun tomorrow, since it's  Sunday and Sunday's on a weekend!

She comes back in our room, and I look at her smiling brightly. She says, "What is it Scar?" I said, "I just remembered my birthday's tomorrow!"

She smiled and said, "Well, happy early birthday. For our birthday here, Miss Ashley let's us throw a party." I said, "Awesome. I better go tell her."

I went downstairs and said, "Miss Ashley, Miss Ashley! I have some good news!" She was doing the laundry. She said, "Yes, Scar. What is it?"

I started jumping up and down and said, "Tomorrow's my birthday!" Miss Ashley said, "Ahh yes, well I usually throw a party here for birthdays. So, I'll get the supplies today. What would you like to have your party themed?"

I thought for a minute and said, "A Princess one, and I would like Cinderella, Ariel, and Bella to attend."

She smiled and said, "Alright. You know today is a free day, so go and do whatever you'd like."

I said, "Ok thank you." I ran back upstairs to Alyssa. She and Mia were having a fight. Oh great.

Mia said, "I had Faith last weekend! It's your turn." Alyssa said, "Well, Miss Ashley put me in charge of Scar. So you have to take her somewhere!"

I let a tear slip from my eye as I stood in the doorway of our room watching them fight. I hate to see people fighting let alone friends or family.

Alyssa sighed heavy and said, "Scar wants to go to the mall with me today, so you have to do something with Faith."

Mia said, "Man, it was so much better when Scar wasn't here. I could do what I wanted on the weekend when it was your turn."

Alyssa sighed again and said, "I know it's hard, Mia, but we're going to have to get used to Scar being here. She's apart of our family now."

Mia said, "You take Faith with you today and I'll take her tomorrow." Alyssa said, "That's it!" She punched her square in the nose, and they started wrestling each other on the ground.

I finally yelled, "Enough! Look, I don't want to be here either, and I'm sorry but your stuck with me. I know I don't belong here, so just leave me alone." I ran downstairs and out the front door. I was going on a walk. Too bad I didn't know where to?

Family, friends, neighbors...it doesn't feel right. Hope you liked this chapter! I'll be writing another book about Scar, Pony, and Soda coming back home. Hope your excited for it!
