The drive to the air port seemed to take shorter than usual. My mum and I grab my bags and continue into the airport. I take my luggage to the check in and give my ticket to the woman behind the desk, that's it, I'm officially going. "Please can all passengers who are boarding the USA flight board shortly, thankyou" a lady through the speaker announces. This is it, the moment I've been dreading for 3 months. I look into my mums eyes, she puts a loose strand of hair behind my ear. "You make me so proud" she sighs, cupping her hand on my cheek. "And I'm proud to have a mother like you" I smile, before bursting into tears. We pull each other in to a hug, both of us crying into each other's shoulders. Then the speaker goes off again, ruining the best mother and daughter moment. "I love you so much" I say hugging her again. "I love you more" she replies. "I don't know if that's possible" I giggle before finally pulling away for good. I collect my hand luggage and made my my on to the plane, waving goodbye until I boarded. I could feel this plane ride was going to be a long plane ride so I shoved my ear phones in and closed my eyes wishing this plane ride would go quick, in fact these 9 months would go quick, the ride was about 9 hours, so I decided to try and go to sleep.
I was woken by a hair hostess shaking my shoulder. "Excuse me miss, but we have landed" she informs me, gees that was a quick plane journey, I do a big stretch before collecting my bags and exciting the plane. The heat immediately hit me, it was like 24 degrees in Florida, where I'm staying, it is a big change to England. I made a big mistake wearing jeans and a jumper. My mum told me to look out for my aunt Tess, if I can even remember what she looks like. I grabbed the rest of my things from the conveyer belt and made my way through the airport keeping an eye out for aunt Tess. I suddenly see in the distance a pair of arms waving at me, I'm guessing this was her. she runs up to me giving me a hug. I'm kinda shocked at this response seen as though I haven't seen her in like 7 years. "Hey you must be Autumn, my gosh you've grown!"she says in a surprising voice, "well I was only 9" I mumble hoping she wouldn't hear. "Is that how long ago it was!" She says, I'm guess she heard me. I want to try and make a good impression for my mums sake. We drive back to her house. "So how do you like it out here in the US, I guess it's pretty different to England huh" she says in a cheesy American accent, ugh god I'm gonna have to get used to that too. "Yeah it different" I reply, I just wanted her to stop trying to make a conversation, I know she's only trying to be nice but I'm honestly not in the mood for talking to anyone for that matter.
We pulled up to this huge house. I couldn't help but admire how big and beautiful it was?! It even had an outdoor swimming pool! We got out the car and my aunt shouted "April come and help us with the bags" oh I forgot about her, she's my cousin, we actually got a long well when we saw each other, which was only a couple of times. Oh my! She's become so beautiful, it make me fee ugly, jokes! "Oh hey Autumn, I haven't seen you in so long, look how beautiful you've grown" she says pulling me into a hug, she's really nice, from what I remember she was always really quiet which is good because I am. We collect all our (my) things and brought them inside. The inside is just as beautiful as the outside, I can't get over how big it is!
