It was mine and Ryder's 2 week anniversary today, I know it's not long but I wanted to spend the day with him. I got out of bed and made my way down to the kitchen for some breakfast, I was in the house alone as my aunt was at work and April and Tom had gone to visit their dad for the weekend, I didn't mine being on my own. I was just about to sit down at the dining table to eat when there was a knock at the door. I get back up again and answer it. I opened the door to find a police officer stood there with a note pad. "Are you familiar with Ryder Mann?" The officer asked. "Yes he's my boyfriend, is everything ok?" I questioned him worriedly. "Do you mind if I ask you some questions?" He quizzed. "Sure come in" I say holding the door
Further open.
We both go to the sofa and sit down. "If you don't mind me asking what is this about?" I literally had no idea what was going on. "Your boyfriend was found beaten up outside a club, we don't know who did this, so we have come to ask if you know who might be the cause of this." How can this be?! Why would anyone want to beat him up? He hasn't done anything wrong? I sit and think for a while, my head goes blank. "Take your time miss" the officer assured me. I think of all the people Ryder has done wrong to, suddenly I get one person in mind! "Marcus Mann!" I shout. "And is Marcus related to Ryder I any way?" "Yes he's his brother, about a month ago, Ryder got into a fight with Marcus, so I'm guessing he's got his on back" I explain. "Thankyou for that information, may we take your name pleas?" The police officer asks. "Yes, Autumn, Autumn smith" I reply. "Thankyou, if you want to visit Ryder, he's in the st. Rosen hospital, just ask at the desk to see him and they will let you through, if you have some trouble getting through ring this number and I will come" he said giving me a piece of paper with a number written on it. "Thankyou" I say showing him to the door. As soon as he left I sunk down and hung my head in my hands, tears rolling down my cheeks, pull yourself together Autumn. I got myself back up and went back upstairs to get dressed. I grabbed my phone and purse and called a taxi. About 5 minutes later the taxi turned up and I jumped in. "Where to?" He asked me. "St Rosen hospital" I say.
When we finally get to the hospital, I throw some change at the driver and run into the hospital. Straight away I head to the desk. "I'm here to see Ryder Mann" I pant. "Down to room 103" the receptionist points down the corridor, I was shocked they let me through, I could have been anyone. I run wildly around looking for "room 103". I come to a holt when I finally find it. I take a deep breathe and walk in, he was laid there helplessly, attached to pipes and machines. I felt like my heart had been ripped out of my chest k, I hated seeing him like this. I walk over, placing my hand over my mouth, tears streaming down my face and neck. "Who's done this to you?" I cry, sitting down next to him, I grab his hand, shaking. He didn't say anything back, I think he was given some pills to make him sleep or something. I rest my for head on his arm and sit there crying. I hadn't even got my head round to what has even happened yet, it's all just a big blur to me. I hear a voice behind me . "Ryder!" I turn around to see his mum and sister standing there. I stand up to let them see him. "What has he done to you?" His mother cries. "How long has he been like this?" He mum asks me. "I don't know, I came to visit about an hour ago" I reply, still crying. We all sit there crying into each others arms for another 3 hours, none of us still understand what has really happened. "Marcus has always been the black sheep of the family, always drinking and doing bad stuff" his sister, Emily, tells me. I guess she was right though.
We had all pretty much spent the whole day at the hospital until it got to closing time and we had to leave. "Hey, Autumn why don't you come back with us?" His mum asked me. "Well I don't want to intrude" I say rubbing the back of my neck. "Don't be silly, your always welcome, your family now" she smiled, which made me smile. I follow them both out of the hospital, giving Ryder a kiss on his head whilst leaving. When we get back to his house I go up into Ryder's room and start packing his clothes into a bag. Then his sister walks in."hey, what you up to?" She asks perching at the end of his bed. "Oh, I thought I would pack him some stuff for the hospital" I smile. "He does really love you, he never shuts up talking about you, it's quite cute actually" Emily implies, instantly making me blush.
