Today has actually been an ok day. After we got back from the diner, I hung out with my cousins April and Tom, my god I didn't realise how much I missed them until now. We put a movie on, persute of happiness, my all time favourite movie. I also surprisingly missed my aunt a lot too, she made us all pop corn and other little nibbles, I'm so lucky to have such a generous and kind family. I didn't stay up too late as I wanted to ring Sam before I went to sleep, I knew we would be talking for hours. "I'm gonna head off to bed now" I say after the film, wafting bits of popcorn of me. "Why so soon?" My aunt asks. "I'm really tried, I've had a long day traveling, thankyou so much for today, you really have made me feel welcome" I say smiling at them all. "Don't be silly, family stick together" she says giving me a hug. " night cuz" Tom says waving, so I wave back, "night Autumn" April smiles at me. I run up 3 flights of stairs until I get to my room, that's how big this frickin house is!
I immediately grab my phone from my desk and ring Sam, I didn't want to Skype him as I knew I'd be crying and I don't look exactly look hot when I cry. I give 2 calls before he answers. "Hey Sam" say already the tears are brewing. "Hey Autumn" he says I could tell he was about to cry as his voice goes Croaky. "How's life in America" he asks, but I could tell he wasn't interested. "Yeah, the house is amazing, they even have an outdoor swimming pool, you guys are gonna have to come visit some time, I even met someone, his names Ryder" I say immediately regretting it, even though me and Sam don't go out he gets really over protective. "What did he say, how did you meet, did he make a move?" I can't keep up with the questions, it's different with Oliver because we are all good friends but when I talk to other guys he gets ideas. "Hey hey slow down, his name is Ryder, we met in a diner and yes he's very nice, but obviously he's nothing like you and Oliver" I say trying my best to hold the tears back. "I miss you" Sam says breaking the awkward silence we had." I miss you too" I repeat. "You know that erm.... Kiss?" Sam asks, I was hoping he wouldn't bring it up actually. "Yeees?" I say extending the e's. "Did it mean anything?" He says running the back of his neck. "What do you mean" I ask, even though I knew what he means. "You know, did you feel anything?" Sam quizzes me. "Duh, I felt your lips." I fake laugh. "Autumn! I'm being serious" he says sternly. I look down "of course I felt something but, I'm not gonna see you for another 9 months, plus if we broke up it would ruin our good friendship." I explain. "I suppose you're right" he sighs. After hours of talking it turned 2:30. "I suppose I better go its late" I say yawning. "Please stay a little longer" Sam whines. "Sam, we've been talking for 3 hours" I giggle. "Fine" he gives in. " we'll talk tomorrow though, promise" I assure him. "Good night Autumn" Sam weakly smiles. "Night Sam" I weakly smile back and before I knew it the call had ended. I immediately crawled under my covers, as I was laid on top of them and I was already in my pyjamas. I close my eyes, the last thing I think about is Sam, before I go to sleep, what if that kiss did mean more?
