Chapter 24

Couple of days passed both Alyssa and Dennise had been really busy.

Alyssa, on her project plus, Mr. Villanueva told her to check the Romano Architectural Firm, which was when Alyssa checked, really out of shape. Paper works were all piled up so she had to take care of that. Well, she had Amanda for some help but the work was still a lot. It has been days since the last time she visited the project's site, a long time since she planned to go back to her former boarding house. She's definitely been aching to go back into that place. She's been obviously distracted since that rainy unforgettable night happened.

Dennise, on the other hand, managed to go back into her former boarding house once, hoping she'll see Alyssa again. But Alyssa didn't show up and her father asked her to help the company. Hence, she buried herself again into work. Has she been distracted since that rainy unforgettable night? Very.

"Yes! Finally done! Woohoo! ," Alyssa stood up stretching from her swivel chair, feeling free and relieved once she finished the last batch of RAF's piled up paper works. "Mands, Beatriz, wanna go out for some booze?"

And oh, she brought her junior architect, Bea de Leon, to assist her and Amanda.

"Game ako boss!" Bea said stretching as well.

"Ugh. Aren't you tired Ly? Bae? ," Amanda said, she's slumped lazily on her chair.

"Come on Mands!" Alyssa smirked and laughed. "I thought you're going to take a tour on every bar in here? Hindi ka pa nga uminom since pagdating natin dito sa Pinas."

Amanda rolled her eyes. "I'm tired okay? But... okay. I'll grab some beer with you guys..."

"Yun oh!" Aly and Bea exclaimed in chorus.

Bea eventually grew comfortable with Aly and Amanda, especially Aly. They kind of have the same personality and likes. They just click. Still, Bea sees Aly and Amanda as her bosses and respects them.

"But hey! I will go home immediately. Antok na ko Ly." Amanda pouted.

Alyssa then agreed and they went into the nearest bar, Vic's Cabin.

On the other side, Dennise has been really busy too. For the first time since she broke her engagement to LA, her father talked to her and asked her personally to help him in the company. She felt happy about it. Her father told her that Romano Architectural Firm is back on its track again. RAF actually laid low for a year or so for some unknown reason but now it's making its move again and Dennise's father found RAF as a big threat, Lazaro's number of clients is starting to decrease.

After a tiring day at her father's company, it suddenly came into her mind to visit Aly's condo unit and she did.

Since Aly left, she would regularly visit Aly's unit, plus she's paying the whole thing. She'd clean the whole place hoping her best friend would finally come back and stay. Tonight's just one of those regular nights where she'd have to clean and reminisce some memories about her beloved Alyssa.

It was a tiring day but to hell with it, it's still a mystery why Dennise can muster enough energy to do more tiring stuff after such tiring day. And so she started cleaning the place after she finished eating her taken out dinner.

Never did she think about what's coming into her best friend's unit later on.

After two three bottles of beers, Amanda went home. Villanueva's condo is not that far from the bar so she insisted to just take a cab home.
Aly and Bea were left drinking booze. They're already... kind of a bit drunk.
