A few days had passed since that awful day. Michonne has been treating me and my family more like we were her kids. Kira had been avoiding me for a while though. I don't understand why. She just all of a sudden shut me out as if I killed her cat. Ethan has been becoming more mentally unstable, taking every chance he gets to retaliate against his life. Jack, I don't know about Jack. He hasn't been ignoring me but I feel like I'm being separated from my family even more without him. Jack is always busy helping out with supplies.Yesterday Rick let me go with Michonne, him and Carl to get some more weapons and supplies. We went to Atlanta, his home town. I think I got to know a little more about the three on the trip and I'm sure they feel the same way about me. We shared small stories about childhood. School and parties was the main topic though, nothing very personal was shared.
Carl decided to leave his dad for a while so he could retrieve a photograph of his family. Michonne and I went with him while Rick tried to help Morgan, an old friend of Rick's who helped him understand what was happening in the beginning of this pandemic.
Today, however, we were to have a meeting with my father. I haven't told anyone else about my relationship with the Governor, but I know I'm going to have to sooner or later.
I woke up from the restless night's sleep and went to the bathrooms to get changed. I exited the bathroom and walked back into my cell. It was currently 4:26 in the morning and I had no clue on what to do. I got out of bed and decided to go for a small walk around the prison while no one else was awake.
I sat on the bench and watched the walkers roam the outskirts of the prison. We've managed to clear out a few of the walkers inside the prison and put up a temporary gate before the field. The sun was about to rise and I stayed to watch it. I heard footsteps behind me and turned to see Kira. I smile and tap my hand on the place next to me. She sits down and we peacefully watch the sunrise.
"Shadow, when will I be able to call you by your name again?"
"I don't know. I'm still not the same person I used to be. I'm getting there though, not much of a shadow anymore."
"Yeah. I miss Tyrian. I hope she'll come back soon." She drifts off.
"She will." I hug Kira as she starts to fall asleep again. "She will, for you."

I watched the sun rise for a few more minutes and then picked Kira up, taking her back to her cell. I doubt anyone will be awake yet except for whoever is on watch. I place Kira on her bed and tuck her in when I see her shivering from the morning breeze.
I exit her cell and see Carl entering the block.
"Up this early?" I asked. I guess I scared him a bit because he jumped when he heard me. I giggle a bit at his reaction."Yeah, I wanted to see if everyone's alright in their cells."
"Sounds reasonable, but what are you really doing up at 5 in the mornin'."
"I went out to watch the sunrise, I used to do it with my mom everyday. I saw you and Kira and thought it was best not to disturb you two."
"Oh I'm sorry." He had told me about what happened to his mom, how he had to end her life when she had Judith. "You didn't hear anything did you?" He shakes his head to symbolise he didn't hear anything we said. I didn't believe him but let it slide. "How bout you join me tomorrow then?"
"No, it's alright. It's a personal thing."
"Well, if it's personal I think it'd be pretty important." I mimic his voice as I remember him saying that to me a few days ago when I decided to take my anger out on the wall. "Come on, I won't bite. I promise." He chuckles before silently agreeing to go.
