Rick and I drove back to the parking lot. As we walked back to the others, Rick and Daryl headed off to speak privately while I joined the rest with Shepherd and the other police officer, who Shepherd introduced as Officer Licari. I explained what Lamson did to Sasha as she had only just regained consciousness.

"He was a good man." Shepherd said to no one in particular. "He was attacked by rotters, as we like to call them. Saw it go down." Shepherd made his death story. Rick listened in as he and Daryl strode back over to us.

"Huh. You're a damn good liar." Rick replied to her.

"We're hanging by a thread here. He was attacked by rotters. That's the story."

"You said the trade was a bad idea. What changed?" Daryl asked.

"Lamson was our shot. So it's this or you go in guns blazing, right? You don't want that."

"If this is some bullshit you're spinning, and things go south-"

"I know. I know the good ones from the bad. Let us help you."

Rick looked over to Licari. "What about you? You wanna live? How much?" He asked

"Dawn's afraid she'll look weak in front of us. Thinks it'll tip things against her." Licari looks over to Shepherd before continuing. "Hell, it will. She'll see this trade as a rip-off if she thinks you took out one of our guys. So it's a good thing Lamson got aced by rotters."

"Okay then, let's get this show on the road." I said and we started heading towards our positions. I got to the rooftop and set up the sniper with Sasha and Tyreese, where we would be out of sight from where Rick was below but not where we couldn't see them. Tyreese and Sasha began talking to each other as soon as we had all been set up in position, snipers aimed where Rick was.

"You're beating yourself up." Tyreese started.

"Don't." She snapped back. She must still be hurt from Bob's death.

"I was stupid. At the church, that guy you killed, his name was Martin." Tyreese stood up, relaxing his grip on the gun. "We had him. Me and Carol. Back by Terminus. Then she went in after you all and it was just me and him. I said I killed him. I could have done it, maybe I should have done it, but I didn't. I keep thinking about it." Tyreese continued but Sasha didn't say anything. She just looked through her scope with a frown and glassy eyes.

"I remember when we were kids and you used to follow me around, copying every little thing I did. What happened to both of us, maybe it's because we're still the same. Just like we were back then. And maybe that's good." Tyreese smiled.

Sounds like Kira and I. She would always try to be like me, wanted to learn things I knew. But now, I feel like she's growing up too fast. I don't want her to, because I know she'll get hurt seeing as she's the one to run head first into anything without thinking. She's almost like Jack, but he has the strength, physically but not mentally. They'll both lose themselves. I just know it, but I hope it won't be soon.

I concentrate back on the task at hand and notice a Grady Hospital car driving up the ramp. I grab the walkie talkie Rick gave me and warned Rick. "They're headed towards the vantage point."

"Okay. Copy that." I received through the speaker.

I watched as Rick goes to talk to the two cops who had just exited the vehicle. Rick put his hands up before placing his pistol on the ground while the cops walk up to him. As the three of them talk it out, I noticed a walker stumbling behind the cops. I aimed away from the cop on the left and shot the walker straight in the forehead. The cops looked around, wondering where I had shot from but where we were was hidden from their sight.
