Chapter 10

Piper's POV

I sat up and looked around expected to see the really humid cave but when I opened my eyes, the cave was the last of my problems. My vision had turned a deep blood colour, I couldn't remember what had happened before I woke up. Something flashed in my mind, an image...no, it was Enceladus' spirit. "I'm coming for you Piper McLean...just you wait. I'm going to destroy and break your mind once and for all."

"You'll never get rid of me." I said through gritted teeth. I suddenly realized I wasn't actually conscious, I was fighting Enceladus in my mind. I took my dagger out of it's sheath and walked toward my enemy.

Since when did the giant get so strong? He swung his fist at me but I ducked. I was too late. His fist slammed into my body and I felt like all the wind got knocked out of me. I tried to breathe but all I could taste was blood. 

"Choose Piper. You're friends and Tyler... or you." Enceladus said. The decision was mine. I had to let Tyler live. Gods, yes, and Jason. I realized he was the person that has kept me living this whole time.

"Take me." And with those two words, he picked me up like a doll and threw me into the wall.

Annabeth's POV

Piper had been unconscious for a few days now. We moved her into an hospital and we have stayed there since. I held her hand praying that she'd be alright. "NO! GET AWAY FROM ME!" I heard Piper whisper forcefully.

"Guys! Piper just said something!" I yelled down the hall. Soon enough, everyone was gathered into the room. Piper started moaning and cursing. She even wriggled in her bed. "Hazel? What's happening to her?" I asked.

"She's trying to fight Enceladus in her mind. But she'll lose, Enceladus has grown stronger." She said with a worried expression. Piper started screaming, her screams were filled with pain.

"Piper...I need you!" Jason whispered as a tear fell down his cheek. And with that, Piper went limp.

She lost the battle
