Jason's POV

Annabeth had rented an apartment in downtown LA. And, it was currently where we were staying. Somehow, all of us fit in a two bedroom room.

We were currently all sitting on the L-shaped couch, chilling and eating pizza.

"So..." Percy started, only to not finish due to the scary quietness of the room.

"To be honest, I think we all learned something about ourselves these past few weeks," Nico said, crossing his arms.

Hazel nodded, leaning against Frank. "I agree."

"Jason?" Leo asked, looking at me.

I looked up at them, feeling utterly useless. "I'm fine."

"You sure?" Annabeth asked, holding Percy's hand.

Looking at their hands, nausea built up. I could almost feel Piper's hand, perfectly placed in mine.

"It's going to be okay, Jason." Frank said. "You'll get over it."

I swallowed down the lump in my throat. "Yeah,"

Leo and Percy exchanged scared glances.

"You know what?" Leo said with a determined look in his eyes. He stood up and pulled me up. "We're gonna go bowling."

For your information, Hazel facepalmed herself and Frank turned into a lizard, running towards the nearest exit.

---

An hour later, we were at the bowling alley.

"Jason." Leo stuffed barbecue chips in his face. "If you get a strike with the sixteen-pound ball, I'll buy you four ice creams."

Nico smirked. "C'mon, Jason. You got this."

Percy came up and whispered into my ear. "Just use the wind."

I frowned. Use the wind. Wait. Oh. I could control the winds. Ha. Funny, Percy.

I grabbed the gold ball, lifting it a few times. I looked ahead at the cones placed perfectly in a pyramid. I swung the ball towards the alley, making the winds lead the ball straight to a strike.

I smiled in victory as all the cones got knocked over. I grinned at Leo, who had his mouth open wide.

"Four ice creams, you were saying, Mr. Valdez?" I asked, smirking.

Leo turned pink. "You know..." He looked around. "I need to go to the bathroom. Be right back." He squeaked.

Percy laughed as Leo fled for the male washroom. Frank patted my back. "Good one, Grace."

I grinned back. "A pleasure, Zhang."

Suddenly, I felt a tap on my shoulder. Lightly turning around, I saw a girl with dirty blonde hair and brown eyes looking at me, smiling with a bunch of girls behind her.

"Hi." She said, smiling. "That was a pretty good shot."

I smiled back, feeling more content than ever. "Thanks."
