After the longest flight I've ever been on we finally landed in Australia. We waited until everyone got off the plane before getting out of our seats and walking down the small aisle. By the time we landed it was about 11 am in Australia which means it was 6 o'clock at night back at home.
"OK guys so first we need to go to baggage claim and then we have to go catch a shuttle bus to take us to the car place so we can pick up the rental car." Liz said as we walked out of the tunnel. We all nodded our heads and followed Liz to baggage claim.
"How was the flight?" Ashton asked walking next to me.
"It was fine. I slept for a bit and the rest of the time Luke and i just talked." I told him. He lightly nodded his head and we walked in silence the rest of the way. Once we arrived at baggage claim we had to wait about 20 minutes before we had all of our bags. We continued to follow Liz as she walked outside. Right when we stepped outside I was hit with a gust of hot air. "Jeez." I mumbled as i fanned myself with my hand.
"Come on guys!" Liz said as we made our way towards a shuttle bus. "Hi. Will this bus take us to the car dealer ship?" She sweetly asked the driver. He nodded his head and Liz smiled before waving us over to get on the bus. We packed ourselves into the bus and waited for the driver to head off. "So i was thinking that when we get to the beach house you guys could either just hang out at the house, you could explore the area, or you can come with me to see some friends." Liz smiled as the bus started moving. We all looked around at each other to see if anyone would say anything.
"I think it would be good to rest for a bit and then go and explore the area." Leah spoke up after nobody was saying anything. We all nodded our heads in agreement and did whatever on our phones while we waited to arrive at the car place.
It was a quiet 15 minute ride to the car place and once we finally arrived we thanked the driver and got off. All these cars looked really nice so i knew we were gonna be riding in style. I was beyond hot in these clothes and i couldn't wait to get to the hotel so i could change into something that won't give me a heat stroke.
"Hello there. What can we do for you guys today?" The lady at front desk asked we walked in. Liz pointed to some chairs lining the wall signalling for us to go sit down so we did.
"Hey Zoey? Will you go with me to find a bathroom?" Leah whispered. I nodded my head and told everyone we would be right back. We made our way past a couple of desks before getting stopped.
"Is there something we can help you with ladies?" A man who looked to be in his mid to late 30's asked as we looked around the small office area.
"We're looking for the bathroom." I smiled.
"Oh ok. Down the hall take the first left and it's the 4th door on your right." He said pointing at a brightly lit hallway. We thanked him and quickly made our way to the bathroom.
I stood at the sink and fixed my hair while I waited for Leah to do her business. Leah walked out of the stall and over to the sink next to me. After she washed and dried her hands she turned to me with slight glare.
"Is there a problem?" I asked her.
"No. I just wanted to say that I know you and Luke were like super in love and all that but he is my boyfriend now and I'm gonna keep it that way. I saw the way you guys were acting on the plane and I'm not very happy about it. So just don't try anything." She said crossing her arms over her (small) chest. I scoffed and rolled my eyes at her. "What?" She asked starting to get defensive.
"Luke was mine before he was yours. You remember that. If I wanted Luke back I could get him back easily. Don't think that just because he's your boyfriend now doesn't mean he will be in the future. Also, this is MY birthday celebration and I could have said no to you coming with us and you wouldn't be here. But I love Luke and he's important to me so whatever it is about you that made him happy I decided to focus on and that's why you're here. So try me Leah. I fucking dare you." I snapped. She was about to say something back but the door swung open.
"Come on guys! We got the car!" Amanda smiled poking her head in. Leah and I nodded our heads and I gave her one final warning look before following Amanda. "What happened?" Amanda asked.
"She told me not to try anything with Luke because he's hers now, blah blah blah." I laughed. Amanda joined me and I knew she understood why Leah sounded crazy.
"You could definitely get Luke back no doubt." Amanda scoffed.
"Exactly!" We got to the lobby and saw everyone scrolling through there phones. "sorry we took so long! But we're ready now!" I exclaimed. Everyone smiled and we stood up to head outside. Ashton made his way over to me and hesitantly grabbed my hand. He let out a sigh of relief when I tightly gripped his hand.
"Everything ok?" He asked.
"Yea. Leah and I just had a bit of a disagreement but everythings fine now. Don't worry about it." I smiled up at him trying to not to let to much sun into my eyes.
"Ok well if you changed your mind I'm here to talk." He smiled kissing my cheek. I thanked him and we all piled into the van.

I'm so sad cause this was one of my favorite stories that I was writing because it was also one of my first. I really don't want to delete it but it's completely falling apart because I'm losing inspiration. I'm gonna keep it going anyway and maybe I'll get some more inspiration eventually.
