*Finlay's POV*

I wasn't sure on why Elijah was so desperate for me to sign the deeds to the house but I did it to make him happy. Rebekah drove over to my house. Gee that sounded strange – my house. I took a deep breath before unlocking the door. I wondered why the others didn't fall in behind me until I remembered what Elijah had told me earlier. I smiled to myself.

"So it is true," I turned to face them, this could be fun.

Elijah smirked at me, I wasn't sure if that was the because of what happened earlier or because he knew I was just teasing – perhaps both.

I would have a little bit more fun before letting them in, "you may come in but on the provisory that my house my rules."

"May I ask which rules are those?" Nik was perplexed.

"Oh no rules, I've just always wanted to say it. Seriously after all that you guys have done why on earth would I refuse you," that was it, the fun was over.

With me being me, everything had to be done a certain way. I got each of them chose a room to start with & then I told them what to get rid of. I got myself started in grandma's room. I pulled out boxes from the wardrobe then I gathered up all the clothes. I found a beautiful outfit that I would get over to the morticians to dress her in. I stopped & whatever happiness I had, which was minuscule, was gone. How was I going to get the money to pay for this? I guess university would have to be put on hold & I needed to get a job for the loan I would have to take out. I placed her clothes into bags & some I found that I would hang onto. She had a lot of dresses & items from the 50's. I wondered if she had kept them to remind herself of Nik & the others. I would keep those & maybe let them make a comeback.

I started on the rest of the room, packing all that needed to be & making a pile of things that could go. I went to sit down beside the boxes I had retrieved from the wardrobe. There were two, so I started on the smaller one which had old bills & paperwork that was no longer needed. I began on the second one. This had more paperwork, letters & photos. I found that the paperwork were documents like birth certificates, death certificates & marriage certificates. I placed them back into the smaller box. I picked up the letters. There were ones from my parents, my grandfather & surprisingly ones from Nik & Rebekah. I would read them later in the privacy of my room. I put these also into the box. I hesitated before I could pick up the photos. There were hundreds of them & I wondered why she never had them in photo albums. In fact I had never seen a photo album ever. That would be my mission to buy several albums & place the memories there. I smiled sadly at each photo I looked at but I found one that had grandma, my mother & me. I could hardly remember what my mother looked like. It was times like this that I wished my mother was here. I cried silently, tears dropping onto the photo that I held.

"Can I help you in here my love?" Elijah's voice came from behind me.

I nodded but couldn't speak. I just kept staring, wishing that this was all a nightmare & that I would wake up.

I turned my head to looked up at him, "I miss them Elijah."

He dropped down beside me & held me tight, "I know. I wish there was something I could do."

"You being here is enough for me," I finally gave up the photo & put it in the box.

"You know we don't have to finish this today. We can come back tomorrow or during the week or even next weekend. There's no rush you know," he sat next to me.
