*Finlay's POV*

Rebekah was a beautiful looking young woman. Her golden blonde hair & her striking blue eyes. She puts me to shame. I watched her put away her items. I wondered what exactly she would be studying. I think she should become a model but what would I know anyway.

"I'm studying my BA in Fine Arts. I really want to become an actress or even a model. How about you?" she answered my unasked question, bringing me out of my daydream.

"Oh. I'm taking on both a BA of Fine Arts & BA of Arts," I replied, a little taken back by her sudden statement.

She turned around to face me, a look of confusion painted on her face, "how exactly are you going to pull that off? Do you even sleep?"

"I studied via correspondence during the last of my senior year. It has given me extra credit towards both my BA's. I know it will be hard work but I couldn't decide on which I wanted more," I replied looking over towards her.

"I just may need your help then since you're such a brainiac," she teased.

I giggled, "if you need me, I'm right here."

I went over to my desk & pulled out my copy of Shakespeare, intending on getting some reading done before the chaos of lectures started.

"I may just take you up on that. Oh by the way, I'm heading home on Friday for the weekend, would you care to join me?" she resumed unpacking her stuff.

I almost dropped my book, "Really? I don't want to intrude on your family time."

"You sound surprised about my invitation. Trust me I have had plenty of family time, besides I need a referee with my two brothers. They will leave me alone when you're there," her back was still facing me but her head looked over her shoulder in my direction.

"I've never really had a friend or an invitation to anything before, so you took me a little off guard," I readjusted the book in my hands, "but yes I would love to."

"Great. I now know we are going to be the best of friends," she laughed, clapping her hands.

'Wow, I've never a friend, let alone a best friend before. God I hope I don't screw this up,' I thought to myself.

*Rebekah's POV*

I felt her staring at me as I guessed I better make a good impression on my new roomy, then I heard her thoughts.

A smile formed as I listened to her inner monologue, 'she's so beautiful with her golden blonde hair & her striking blue eyes. She puts me to shame. I wonder what she's studying. I think she should become a model but what would I know anyway.'

So I thought I'd give her an answer that she seems to need, "I'm studying my BA in Fine Arts. I really want to become an actress or even a model. How about you?"

'Oh look I've surprised her,' I took note.

"Oh. I'm taking on both a BA of Fine Arts & BA of Arts," she responded.

"How exactly are you going to pull that off? Do you even sleep?" I spun around to face her, slightly confused in her answer.

'Hmmm, I wonder if she ever intends on partying for the next few years while here? I guess I'll need to get that sorted. Challenge accepted,' I spoke to myself.

"I studied via correspondence during the last of my senior year. It has given me extra credits towards both my BA's. I know it will be hard work but I couldn't decide on which I wanted more," she looked over at me.

'This girls a bloody genius. She sounds like a mix of both Elijah & Nik, this could be interesting,' my inner-self alleged.

"I just may need your help then since you're such a brainiac," I teased her, lying my butt off.

She shyly giggled, "if you need me, I'm right here."

I turned back around contemplating my next move. I started to like this girl more & more. She didn't have one of those annoying voices that you would love to just rip their throat out. She was down to earth, easy to get along with, she wasn't constantly in your face.

I peered down at my half empty suitcase knowing that if I didn't continue with this manual task of unpacking that it wasn't going to do it on its own. That there was when I came up with the first bit of my challenge.

"I may just take you up on that. Oh by the way, I'm heading home on Friday for the weekend, would you care to join me?" I put my lacy underwear away in my bedside table.

"Really? I don't want to intrude on your family time," she answered full of surprise once again.

"You sound surprised about my invitation. Trust me I have had plenty of family time, besides I need a referee with my two brothers. They will leave me alone when you're there," I knew this girl was going to be my best friend.

"I've never really had a friend or an invitation to anything before, so you took me a little off guard," she paused slightly, "but yes I would love to."

"Great. I now know we are going to be the best of friends," I laughed, clapping my hands like an absolute fool.

That's when I heard her inner monologue again, 'wow, I've never had a friend, let alone a best friend before. God I hope I don't screw this up.'

'Me neither honey. You couldn't possibly screw up, unlike certain people in my family. I really hope my brothers don't scare her off, especially Nik,' I really, really needed a real friend & I hoped that my world didn't over power hers.
