*Elijah's POV*
After the girls left early on Monday morning, Niklaus & myself went to do a little shopping for my beloveds new bedroom. We didn't have to worry about a bed or wardrobe as Niklaus had left the original bed in there & there was a walk-in robe.
Niklaus had several contacts & we went to a large warehouse-style furniture store. I walked around, perusing the array of items all around me. I would try to make sure that whichever I chose would match the four-post bed that already occupied the room. I started off by selecting a chaise that would sit at the foot of the bed. Niklaus called me over to show me a dresser with matching bed sides which would suit everything so far. The second last piece of the larger furniture to decide on were two bookshelves that would sit on either side of the window nook we were going to set up for her. The two of us surveyed the section of the building that housed beautiful ornate desks. Both Niklaus & I came to a halt in front of a perfectly matched antique roll down top desk & chair. That would be the final piece of the larger furniture. We now directed our focus on the cheval mirrors. Niklaus had found one that had the same hand carvings that featured on the posts of the bed.
"I'll just make sure everything will be delivered by tomorrow," he said going over to discus all arrangements with his friend.
"Thank you again Niklaus," I was very grateful for his change of heart.
When Niklaus returned to me we left the building.
"So what do we do now?" Niklaus asked as we walked back to the car.
"I still need to obtain some new bedding for her, as well as some canopy drapes to match the bedroom curtains," I got into the driver's seat.
"That's easy; we'll go to that boutique over in Melrose Avenue. I'm sure that they'll have what you're after," Niklaus pressed the electric windows down & lent on the window sill.
I chuckled to myself, "for someone who is known a heartless cold calculating murderer, you certainly have knowledge of where to procure linens, home wares & other knick-knacks."
"Elijah, have I told you to sod off today?" he smirked facing out the window.
"No but dually noted brother," I enjoyed having this Niklaus with me; I just hoped it wouldn't be a short-lived affair.
Our boutique experience was yet another pleasant one. I couldn't wait to set up her room & see her face.

The following day I spent relaxing & waiting for the new items to arrive. Niklaus had to run some errands but promised he would be back to lend a hand to arrange the room.
The gentleman from the warehouse turned up with the truck load of the acquired furnishings. I told them which room to dispose the furniture in & told them once they had finished they were free to leave.
An hour later everything sat throughout the room. I thought I would try organising where it would all go like I had it figured out in my head. So I started with the two bookshelves & went from there. Niklaus arrived soon after & before too long everything was situated perfectly. He even helped to make the king size bed.
"I think we did an impeccable job, even if I do say so myself," Niklaus admired our afternoons hard work.
"I believe that you would be correct. How about a drink in celebration of not arguing, breaking something or very few curse words?" I patted him on the back & exited the room.
