*Elijah's POV*

Last night & this morning had indeed blown my mind. To say I was the happiest man in this world was a clear understatement. I was ecstatic & my life was finally complete. I got changed into one of my many suits & went downstairs to make some coffee. I poured two cups, placing Finlay's in her usual spot at the table. She walked in, literally glowing.

"You look very relaxed," I took a sip from my cup.

"Well, morning exercise will do that to you," she basically drank hers in one gulp.

"Are you ready to go?" I took both cups to rinse at the sink; I would clean up after I returned from dropping her off.

"Yes & I've been thinking that maybe I should get a car," she got her bag onto her shoulder.

"Perhaps, but why?" why would she want a car when she has me?

"Because of this," she climbed into the car.

"But I enjoy taking you wherever you need to go," I knew she was independent, but I enjoyed our time together.

"Trust me, I love it when you do, but there are going to be times when we both need to be at places at the same time & I've never owned my own car," she placed her hand on top of mine, sort of like a reassurance.

"I guess you're right. Did you have any car in mind?" I kissed her hand as we drove towards the campus.

"I don't know, this car is great. I like sports cars but as long as I look good in it," she was in a wonderful mood.

"I think you look good in anything or nothing," I drove into the car park & stopped the car.

"I think you're bias but I still love you for it," she moved across to kiss me.

"You better go before I kidnap you & take you home to do unthinkable acts," the images that came to mind were very colourful indeed.

"It's tempting but I guess I should go," she retrieved her bag & got out, "I'll get a lift off Rebekah this afternoon."

"See you later baby," remembering last night's discussion.

So she wants her own car? I can handle that. I drove off to the local dealership to purchase my love the car I thought matched her perfectly.

I searched & found the ideal one for her – a black Viper with purple highlights. This car screamed Finlay. I signed the papers, paid in cash & told them it had to be delivered today before 2pm.

I returned home & cleaned up what I said I would before I did anything else. My brother entered the room, appearing a bit worse for wear.

"Good morning Niklaus," I spoke while trying to figure out what mood he would be in.

"It is actually. I've been planning a little trip for myself after the service on Friday," he replied in a somewhat cheery voice.

I wondered if I should be on guard because his look to his voice didn't match up, "that sounds like fun. Where are you off to?"

"New Orleans actually, old stomping grounds would help me from this slump I'm in. I'm not sure how long I'll be going for," he grabbed a blood bag, disposing of it just as quick.

"Do you think that's wise, considering the reason for us leaving there in the first place?" I knew this wasn't going to end well but for whom, I wasn't sure.

"It'll be fine. I'm sure all that's been put in the past. As of now, I'm off to paint the rest of my problems away," he left without hesitation.

I pinched the ridge of my nose. I would talk to Rebekah later to see if she could talk some sense into our boneheaded brother.
