"...With sunny skys and a seven percent precipitation forecast, we will be having good weather..."

"Ughhh..." I groaned. I checked by clock. It was 5:30.

I groaned again and tried to force myself to go back to sleep. I had a pounding headache. I almost succeeded to fall back asleep when the radio caught my ear.

"Police are still investigating the murder of Ivy Daren. They are not currently releasing information to the public."

Murder!

I threw off the covers and ran downstairs to hear the rest of the report.

I thundered down the stairs and grabbed the radio, franticly turning the sound up.

"Well, that's all we have for you today America. Now lets give it up for Maroon Five!"

Payphone started playing, as I slumped down in my chair, holding my head. It felt like a hammer was banging on it.

What had I done to my head?

I tried to think of anything I did last night that could have hurt my head this bad. I felt a sinking feeling in my stomach when I realized that not only could I not think of anything that could have hurt my head, but I couldn't remember anything from last night at all. Nothing. I tried to push that thought out of my mind. I was just paranoid.

I sighed and went up to my room to get dressed. I put on a pale blue shirt and jeans. Nothing fancy. It's not like I was going anywhere.

I had just poured myself a bowl of cereal when a loud knock sounded on the door.

My mom came out of the living room, smoothing out her pajamas.

"Now who would be here at this hour?"

My mother opened our front door.

"Hello, officers," I heard her say from the kitchen.

"Now what can I do for you?"

"Is there an Emma Tulestone here?" A separate voice asked.

"Why yes, that's my daughter. I'll go get her."

"Emma? A police officer is here to see you."

My mother gave me a worried look as I walked to the door. On our front porch stood three police officers. Two men, and a women. The women came up to me.

"Are you Emma Tulestone?" She asked.

"Yes. I am."

My head was pounding even worse then before.

The women looked me in the eye and brought out her badge.

"Emma Tulestone, you our under arrest for the murder of Ivy Daren."
