To Kill A Chara

The Last Soul

Frisk takes Sans's golf cart, which they never returned, and begins to drive towards Sans's house. Meanwhile, Sans continues to question if it's all worth the risk. Sure he can revive Gaster, but if Chara takes control their DETERMINATION is great enough to prevent Frisk from resetting. Which could be disastrous, cause if Chara kills Frisk, they gain total control over the timeline.

Sans decides to keep going, he just needs one more soul, there's no way he's stoping now. Frisk knocks on the door. A Sans takes a shortcut into the living room of his house and answers.

"Sup' kid?" Sans greets.

"I came to apologize," Frisk explains, "sorry for being such a jerk about Asreil, but I'm going to make it right."

"How?" Sans asks.

"I know how you fell about resets," Frisk explains, "but this is the last time, I promise. I'll load my old save from before I fought Asreil. You'll be able to correct any mistakes you've made in the last seven years, and then not kill the bully in the first place. Everything will be fine. I'm sorry about this Sans."

Frisk prepares to push continue to load their save. Sans's eye glows red. "Do it," Chara whispers, "take their soul. If Gaster resets, he'll be fine from the start. Just kill Frisk, and have Gaster reset."

Sans ignores Chara. "Frisk," Sans pleads, "I need to do something first. Just give me a few more days. That's all I need."

Reluctantly, Frisk moves away from the button. "Three days Sans," Frisk replies, "that's all I'll give you. The longer we wait, the more we'll have to relive."

Sans's eye stops glowing. "Thanks kid," Sans smiles, "you won't regret it."

Frisk smiles, "Toriel is probaly wondering where I am. I gotta go. See ya Sans. Oh, and your golf cart is parked outside. Here's the keys." Frisk tosses Sans the keys and leaves.

Sans considers what Chara said. So, if Gaster resets, he'll be alright from the start? Sans considers taking Frisk's soul. They're gonna reset anyways.

"Do it," Chara whispers, "it'll be easy."

Somthing dawns on Sans, it would be futile to kill Frisk. They'll just reset. Sans has to find the fourth soul like he did the others.

He turns on the news. There's a report of a hostage situation involving a human and a Froggit. Sans's eye glows red. He takes a shortcut to where the incident is taking place.

"So," Sans grins at the kidnapper, "you got a thing against monsters?"

"You're called monsters for a reason, you don't belong up here," the kidnapper replies putting a gun to the Froggit's head, "go back to the underground skeleton, or I pull the trigger."

Sans enters a FIGHT. The kidnapper begins to shake.

"Stay back demon!" He yells.

"Demon?" Sans asks.

"You don't know the meaning of the word," Chara takes control for a moment. Sans regains control. He FIGHTS. Killing the kidnapper on the spot. His LOVE increases to ten. Sans takes the soul.

He sees the Froggit. He remembers that Grilby said to make sure there were no witnesses. He FIGHTS the Froggit, killing it. Sans's LOVE increases to eleven...
