Frisk dodges Asreil's attack. They call out for help once more.
Asreil recalls something. He recalls the moment he met Chara...
It was years ago. How many now, nobody knows, but Chara had fallen down. Chara had fallen down, and called out for help... and Asreil came.
Asreil looks at Frisk. He is reminded of Chara in many ways. He almost wants to let Frisk go, he almost wants to believe that Frisk is a good person... almost.
Undyne dashes towards Waterfall, desperate to stop Asreil. She is filled with DETERMINATION as she hears Frisk's desprate cries.
Asreil lands a hit. Frisk RESETS.
This time, Undyne breaks down the door immediately. She dashes towards Waterfall, filled with DETERMINATION...
Frisk calls out for help once more.
"You know what?" Asreil smiles, "just for kicks, let's wait a second and see what happens..."
Asreil stops for moment, expecting silence, only to hear the sound of metal boots clanging on the ground.
Undyne's DETERMINATION causes her to change. She becomes Undyne the Undying.
"Asreeeeeeilllll!" She screams as he comes into sight.
"Well shit," he sighs.
Asreil ends the FIGHT with Frisk to focus on Undyne.
"Run Frisk!" Undyne exclaims.
"What about you?" They ask.
"Don't worry," Undyne smiles, "I can handle this."
Frisk flees to Hotland.
"You think I wasn't ready for this Undyne?" Chara asks, "you fool! Since when were you the one in control?"
Chara tries to posses Undyne directly. Undyne tries to think about her friends. Sans, Alphys, Toriel, Asgore, Frisk, Chara...
It's then that Undyne realizes that this is different. They know Chara, the real Chara. Undyne becomes conflicted. Does she help Chara, or Frisk? So there really a way to save both?
Undyne struggles against the possession and manages to resist Chara's influence.
"Damn it all!" Chara exclaims.
"Sorry buddy," Undyne explains, "but I won't let you hurt Frisk. There's a way to save you both. There HAS to be a way."
"You foolish fish!" Chara growls, "Frisk is no better than me! Also, I thought we were friends. Heh. Guess not."
"It's not like that. You're just... not yourself right now. Chara, I promise you, I'll get you a soul."
"I could've had one, had you not gotten in my way. Asreil, Frisk needs Undyne alive or they'll RESET. Kill her."
"Are you sure about this?" Asreil asks, "I mean killing Frisk, fine, whatever, but Undyne has done nothing wrong."
"Kill her or I stay dead!" Chara tells.
"Fine," Asreil sighs, "Sorry Undyne, but it's nothing personal... you know, they call you Undyne the Undying, shall we not test that?"
Asreil attacks with fire magic...
