Frisk goes through Waterfall. Undyne acts normally enough. However, she seems to hesitate at each attack. Frisk wonders if she remembers anything, but decides if they do, then it's just gonna make things easier.
Meanwhile, Asreil sits awaiting Frisk where they would normally face Undyne. Asreil plans to kill Frisk when they arrive. Undyne approaches, getting ready to face Frisk.
"Hey goat boy," Undyne greets, "this is my job. What are you even doing here?"
"I'm getting Chara back," Asreil replies, "no matter what."
"Yeah," Undyne replies, "I'm not gonna allow that. You gonna hurt Frisk, you gotta go through me."
"Fine," Asreil smirks.
Asreil starts a FIGHT.
Undyne checks Asreil.
Asreil Dreemur. 99 atk. 99 def. They just want their best friend back.
Undyne sighs. She knows she can't hurt Asreil. Even if they intend to kill her, she can't bring herself to attack. Asreil attacks with fire magic. Undyne is unable to dodge.
"Woah woah woah!" Chara exclaims, "stop it! We're all on the same side here! Listen, Undyne, I'll handle Asreil, you just figure out how to help me."
"Fine," Undyne sighs, "But if Frisk RESETs, I'm stepping in." Undyne heads into Hotland.
"That a lie?" Asreil asks.
"Of course," Chara smirks, "we need her alive or Frisk is going to RESET. Just keep killing them until they lose DETERMINATION."
"Got it," Asreil replies.
Meanwhile, Undyne approaches Alphys's lab. They knock on the door. Alphys answers.
"Oh," they smile, "Hey Undyne."
"Hey Alphys," Undyne smiles, "you be been studying DETERMINATION right?"
"Yeah," Alphys replies, "Why do you ask?"
"I'll explain inside," Undyne explains, "it's a long story."
Undyne and Alphys head inside and Undyne begins to tell her about the previous RESET...
Meanwhile, Frisk reaches the place where they normally face Undyne.
"Hey Frisk," Asreil smiles, "how you?"
Frisk slowly towards Hotland, afraid that Asreil is about to attack.
"Fine," Frisk replies, "just going through the underground, as per usual. What about you?"
"Oh," Asreil smirks, "just waiting for you. I'm ending this, right here, right now."
Asreil leaps down and starts a FIGHT.
Asreil turns Frisk's soul green. "Where do you think Undyne learned that?" They smirk, "Asgore taught them. Now, in the words of Undyne, en garde!"
Asreil block the way. Frisk tries to ACT. They can check and call. Frisk calls out for help...
"But nobody came," Asreil smirks.
Asreil attacks with fire. Frisk narrowly avoids the attack. Frisk calls out for help again.
"You just don't quit do you?" Asreil asks, "ah well, if I keep killing you, you'll give up sooner or later."
Asreil attacks once more. Frisk gets hit and dies. They LOAD their last save.
"Take two," Asreil smirks.
Asreil attacks once more. However, Frisk is prepared and dodges the attack with ease.
Frisk realizes calling out for help is useless. However, they try anyways.
"So Asreil is alive?" Alphys asks.
"Wait a minute," Undyne replies, "you just asked that. Oh that conniving little goat."
"What's wrong?" Alphys asks.
"Asreil just killed Frisk," Undyne explains, "I'll go handle it, but it may take a few tries. Wait here."
Undyne dashes towards Waterfall, filled with DETERMINATION.
Frisk RESETs again...
Undyne begins towards Waterfall again, this time without explaining herself. She is DETERMINED to save Frisk. No matter what...
