Sans glares at Chara. His eye glows blue. "That's great," Sans forces a smile, "really great." Chara sees his hand twitching. Sans wants to blast Chara, he really, really, wants to. He wants Frisk, his best friend, back.

"You should introduce yourself to them!" Papayrus smiles. Sans's eye glow spikes in brightness. Chara nervously walks up to Sans, hoping he won't act in front of Papayrus. Sans extends his arm to shake hands. Chara complies, the sound of a whoopie cushion fills the room.

"He, whoopie cushion in the hand trick, never fails," Sans smiles, "You're the human who fell down here right? Here's some advice. Don't go to Waterfall. Go back to the Ruins and live out your days there. Well, it was nice to meet you, but I've got somthing I need to handle. So, if you'll excuse me." Sans goes into his room and disappears.

"Taking his shortcuts again," Papayrus sighs, "that lazy bones walks less everyday. Anyways, human are you ready to hang out?" Chara smiles and nods, but they can't stop thinking about Sans. They know he won't act in front of Papayrus, but if they run into him in Waterfall or Hotland it could spell trouble.

Meanwhile Sans confronts Gaster. Gaster works in the True Lab with Alphys. "Gaster," Alphys asks, "do you really think this is a good idea? You've seen the almalgamates, you'll end up like them."

Gaster holds the DETERMINATION in his hand. It's the only thing that keeps him alive, but if he takes to much, he'll melt. Latley, he's been taking more, to become stronger and try to surpass Frisk. "I'll be OK," Gaster replies, "you're dismissed Alphys." Alphys walks away. Sans appears in the True Lab

There's a moment of silence. Finally, Sans asks, "why are you doing this?"

Gaster sighs. "Sans," he begins to explain, "you wouldn't understand. Also, the correct question would be, 'why did I do this?' Sans, it's over, move on."

"So that's it," Sans replies, his eye glowing, "you commit mass murder and take my best friend's soul, and you say to just 'move on'? You better have a much better explanation than that Gaster!"

"Call me dad, you should refer to your parents by-"

"Does it look like I give a fuck wingding face!?! I killed to bring you back, and you repay me by killing everyone I love and forcing me under Chara's control! Now, what's your goddamn excuse?!? How can you justify your actions!?!"

Gaster doesn't respond for a moment, and then replies, "we can discuss this later Sans. For now, I have business to attend to." Gaster disappears.

Sans sighs. He knows he can't beat Gaster, and if he tries to kill Chara, Gaster would just kill him. Sans realizes he has no choice. He picks up some extracted DETERMINATION...

Meanwhile, Chara begins to leave for Waterfall. "If you need anything," Papayrus smiles, "give me a call."

"Sure thing," Chara replies. Chara continues to Waterfall. Undyne hears them walking through the tall grass. She prepares her spear. Chara freezes. They remember Undyne, Undyne killed them dozens of times. They have to move. They have to get to the barrier immediately. They wait for Undyne to leave and sprint through Waterfall. They flee from any FIGHTS and swim through the water rather than dealing with the bridge seeds.

As they dash, they remember something, Monster Kid. They can't get over the ledge without Monster Kid. They continue to the ledge anyways, hoping to think of another way. They arrive at the ledge, but can't reach it. Chara gets on idea. They walk around until they enter a FIGHT. They ACT to jump off the monster's head.

"Sorry about that," they apologize before using MERCY to flee. They continue through Waterfall, and continue to stay one step ahead of Undyne. They reach the bridge that Undyne would have broken, causing them to fall. They look down, making sure to land on the golden flowers that somehow broke Frisk's fall in their first run, and jump.

They hear Frisk's voice, "you're not dead yet? Wow, I'm surprised Chara, but you'll never get past Undyne, I'm getting my soul back, at any cost."

"Frisk," Chara pleads, "this isn't like you. I know you're soulless, but please, for the greater good, can't you just stay that way?"

"Greater good? Heh, things were good before you and Gaster took away everyone's happy ending. "

"Shut up Frisk."

"Ahhhhh... what's the matter? Felling guilty? I don't, and I remember everything. Killing everyone, growing stronger, and I fell no remorse, not without a soul. Do you remember Chara? You're the one who pushed me to do it. In a way, it's all your fault."

"I said shut up!" Frisk falls silent. Chara continues through the dump.

Meanwhile, Monster Kid isn't far behind. "Undyne," Monster Kid pleads, "this isn't like you. I understand that it's a human, but do they truly have to die?"

"Go home," Undyne growls, "do not return until the human is dead. Unless you happen to know of another way to get a human soul, the human has to die. So, tell me kid, do you have a human soul?"

Monster Kid falls silent. "That's what I thought," Undyne smirks summoning her spear, "now, if you'll excuse me, I have a soul to collect." Undyne dashes away to confront Chara, but Monster Kid can't help but fell somthing off. They go to warn Chara...
