Asreil begins to start a FIGHT, but then hears Toriel's footsteps. He decides to wait. Toriel smiles at the duo, unaware one is trying to kill the other.

Frisk decides to leave immediately, the sooner they get away from Asreil the better. Not only is he trying to kill Frisk, but he also makes Frisk feel guilty about taking their soul back from Chara.

Toriel returns with the pie. "How do I get home?" Frisk asks.

Asreil realizes what's going on. He considers attacking, but then looks at Toriel, how happy they are with Frisk. He considers the possibility that Frisk deserves to live. He considers letting Frisk go.

"Don't think like that!" Chara exclaims

"Chara?" Asreil asks, "you told me not to listen to you."

"Asreil," Chara smirks, "you wouldn't abandon your best freind would you? Listen, let Frisk go. I have a plan. Just leave The Ruins with them. Trust me."

"OK," Asreil replies, "I got it."

Toriel heads downstairs. Frisk follows her. Asreil is right behind them. He decides to lie to Toriel to get out of The Ruins. He stays back until Frisk spares Toriel. Before Frisk leaves, he steps in. "Wait," he stops Frisk, "I'm coming with you."

"I can't allow that," Toriel replies, "things have changed Asreil. It's not safe for humans. What if you get caught in the crossfire?"

"Don't worry," Asreil smiles, "I'm still a boss monster. No one down here could really hurt me. Besides, why would anyone attack Asgore's son? I can protect the human. Trust me."

Toriel hugs Frisk and Asreil. "Be safe," she smiles, "both of you."

"I promise," Asreil lies, "I'll protect them."

Frisk and Asreil head to Snowdin, but they stop in the room at the end of The Ruins. "This," Asreil sighs, "this is where I'd normally comment on you killing or sparing Toriel. For now though, all I have to say is this. Kids like you, should be burning in Hell, and when I'm done, you will be. See you later, Frisk."

Asreil leaves the room. Frisk tries to talk to him, but he disappears into the snow. Frisk continues towards Snowdin, prepared for anything.

"Hey kid," Sans greets at his usual spot.

Frisk suddenly feels an unfamiliar sensation. They remember the very first run. Where they killed everyone, or Chara did? Who knows, but that's not what bothers them. What bothers them is Chara. They forced Chara to kill or be killed, and seeing Sans only reminds them of how they tried to manipulate everyone. It's then Frisk realizes that what they feel is their sins crawling down their back.

"I've been good," Frisk lies, "I know the drill, you know the drill, so let's get moving."

"There is one small change," Sans explains, "Gaster's around, so you may run into him. He won't attack though, don't worry. See ya when you run into Paps."

Sans takes a shortcut. Frisk proceeds to Snowdin.

Meanwhile, Undyne awakens from a nightmare she can't seem to recall. She gets up to make some tea, unable to sleep as an unnerving feeling looms over her. She turns on the water, only for it to look red.

She rubs her eyes, the water looks normal again. She hears a voice, "Unnnnndyneeeeee," it speaks in a creepy tone, "iiiiiit's meeeeeeee."

"Shut up! Shut up! Shut up!" Undyne exclaims, "get out of my head Chara!"

"Have you already forgotten?" Chara asks, "when we were freinds?"

"We were never freinds," Undyne growls.

"Oh," Chara smirks, "but we were. We were last time. Try to remember."

Undyne sees glimpses of the previous RESET. "No!" She exclaims beginning to remember her nightmare, "no it can't be true!"

"But it is Undyne," Chara sighs, "Frisk gave me one choice."

"Frisk would never!" Undyne exclaims.

"Don't repress the truth," Chara chuckles, "it's futile anyways."

The previous RESET flashes before Undyne's eyes. Until the last few moments, when Chara saves Frisk and says goodbye to Asreil.

"It can't be!" Undyne exclaims.

"Oh but it is," Chara explains, "isn't it clear? Frisk is worse than I am? Monsters, humans, everyone, they would be better off with me and Asreil. So, I ask you, as your friend, help me."

"OK," Undyne replies, "I'll think of something, but I won't kill Frisk."

"That's fine," Chara smirks, "I've got someone on the case. After all, us Dreemurs are tougher than we look..."

Meanwhile, Frisk begins into Waterfall. "Kid," Gaster stops them, "you forgot this."

Gaster hands them a cell phone. "Listien," he explains, "I don't entirely know how I feel about you. You seem nice enough, but what you did to Chara is unforgivable. I'm gonna keep out of your way. Maybe when we're on the surface I'll make an effort, but until then, whatever happens happens."

Frisk feels their sins again. "I understand," they reply, "thanks."

"Just doing what I gotta," Gaster replies, "see ya kid."

Gaster heads back to Snowdin. Frisk holds the cell phone, their sins crushing them. They almost feel like giving up, returning their soul to Chara, but they stay DETERMINED, and head into Waterfall...
