Kakashi's P.O.V

"Come on," Kurenai says and hold a hand out to me. I stand up and she grabs my wrist then starts walking "Where are we going?" I ask and wipe away the wetness on my face, hoping it wasn't noticeable that I was crying "We're going to the hospital to see her you idiot, then you'll see that she's fine and none of this was your fault" Kurenai says sternly. When we get to the hospital, it's less busy and many people have left "Oh, you're the one who brought in Akane, right?" The man that took her before walks up to me and I nod "I'm Hanibi, Akane and I were on the same medical unite during the third shinobi war" He explains and I nod "How's Akane, is she okay?" Kurenai asks and Hanibi sighs "I'm deeply sorry," Hanibi says and lowers his head "So she's?" I ask choking back tears and Hanibi just nods, I lower my head and my hands ball into fists "Can we see her?" Kurenai says in a weak voice so I look up "Absolutely" Hanibi says and leads the way to where Akane is. Hanibi slides the door open and we all step in the room, I spot Akane on a bed in the corner and rush over "I-I don't understand, she has the mark of 100 healings, how did this happen?" I ask not looking at anyone but Akane "The mark wasn't activated when the injury happened, otherwise she'd be fine right now" Hanibi explains "And there's no chance that she'll-?" Kurenai asks and I look over to see Hanibi shake his head.

I look back at Akane and grab her hand then lay my head on the bed "Wake up Akane" I whisper. Everyone's silent for a few moments but then someone gasps and is breathing heavy "Impossible" I hear Hanibi says so I look up and see both Kurenai and Hanibi looking at Akane in shock. I look over at Akane, her eyes are open and she's the one that's breathing heavy "Akane" I say and stand up by her head "How is this possible?" Hanibi says and stands on the other side of her "I thought you were gone" I tell Akane and ball the bed sheets in my hands. Akane laughs a little in between her heavy breathing and smiles "Did you really think I'd go off and die on you?" Akane jokes which makes me mad but at the same time happy "Just don't scare me like that again" I breath out before kneeling at her bed and resting my head on it again, I feel her hand find it's way to my head and she just pets my hair slowly.

Akane's P.O.V

"Just don't scare me like that again" Kakashi says then kneels down and places his head on my bed, I lift my hand and lay it on top of his head then run my fingers through his hair slowly "Akane" I hear and look over to see Hanibi "Hanibi! How are you" I ask and smile "I should be the one asking you that-" Hanibi starts to say "I'm fine" I tell him and flash him my infamous closed eye smile with the tilt of the head "But how?" He asks and I look at him again "When I got injured, I knew I was going to die since I didn't have my mark of 100 healings active but then I remembered something," I explain "I have this kekkei genkai where it heals someone back to full health when they're on the brick of death, so I activated it and looked at my reflection" I finish "That's how I saved that one womens life during the war" I say and see Hanibi smile then laugh a little "You truly are amazing, Akane" Hanibi says before patting my shoulder and leaving "Are you sure you're okay, Akane?" Kurenai, who I didn't know as here, asks and walks to where Hanibi was beside my bed a moment ago "Yeah, I'm great actually" I say and sit up "Come on, we should help clean up the village" I say but Kakashi grabs my hand and keeps me from getting off the bed.

"You just got over from being stabbed through the chest, there was a hole there" Kakashi says and I can see the worry in his eyes "I'm telling you, I'm completely fine" I reassure him and stand "See, it's like I'm 12 again" I say and jump around a little the someone comes in and I stop jumping "Akane, I'm going to check you out and make sure you're okay and if you are then you can leave" Hanibi says and walks over to me. Hanibi only takes a moment to go over me "You're in top health" Hanibi says a little surprised "That's the blessing of those eyes" I say and stand again "So, is there anything I can help with?" I ask to all of them in general "If you feel up to it, you'd be a great help to us in the hospital" Hanibi says and I nod "I'll do everything I can" I tell Hanibi with a smile then leave with him. At the end of the long day, everyone that had a major injury was treated and I was able to go home. When I walk outside I run into Kurenai who seemed like she was waiting "It's about time you've finished" Kurenai says as soon as she sees me and walks up to me "Sorry, a lot of people got injured" I say and quietly trail off my words when I see the look on her face.

"Is there something wrong?" I ask and she sighs "Come on," She says before grabbing my hand and walking off. After awhile of walking, Kurenai lets go of my hand and sighs as we continue to walk "Did anything seem..." Kurenai thinks for a moment "Off," She says as if it's the best word she wants to use to describe "About Kakashi to you earlier?" She finishes and I think for a moment "No, not really" I reply and shrug a little "What are you getting at?" I ask and she stops walking which makes me stop as well "Kakashi was worried sick about you, even when I gave him jobs to do while you were in the hospital to keep you off his mind, he kept thinking about you" She says and I'm a bit thrown off "He started crying in front of me because he was so worried about you" She says and seems shocked herself "Kakashi hates showing himself when he's weak, so when he started to cry, I knew something was really off" She says making me confused "I don't get what you're trying to say? What's your point to this?" I ask and she takes a deep breath then sighs again "I think Kakashi's in love with you"
