Akane's P.O.V
I wake up the next morning wrapped in Kakashi's arms and covered in the million blankets he brought. I roll over inside his arms and brush his hair away from his face and smile at how soft he looks while sleeping before trying to get up to use the bathroom. As I go to sit up, Kakashi's arms wrap around me tighter and pull me back down to his chest and he takes a deep breath "Let's stay like this a little longer" He says, voice deep and laced with fatigue "But I need to pee" I laugh and you go get up again, this time he lets me and I step outside, quickly going to the bathroom and climb back into the tent and flop down on the blankets and roll back into Kakashi's arms. We laugh and he hugs me tightly, we stay like that for a long time and eventually fall back asleep. A month goes by and Kakashi and I finally head home from camping, we packed everything up and walked back to his house, putting everything away and both having a warm shower before going out looking for something to eat and we run into Juro and Hisoka "Akane!" Juro calls out to us and Kakashi and I stop walking, waiting for them to come up to us "Hisoka and I have been looking for you, we have a date set" He finishes and I jump a little in excitement "So when is it?" I ask, smiling widely "Next week on Saturday, we hope you can make it," Hisoka tells me and I lose my smile "Next week?!" I yell and they look at me confused "That's not enough time for me to get you guys a present and find something to wear!" I say and Hisoka giggles "We tried to tell when we first decided but we couldn't find you!" Juro yells back and I turn my head, glaring at Kakashi.
"Hey, don't turn this on me," He tells me and I just scrunch up my face at him before looking back at them, "I have to go shopping right now, send me where and what time to my house, I'll be there for sure!" I say and tug Kakashi away, thinking about what to get them as a present. "Why are you dragging me into this? I'm hungry" Kakashi pouts when we get far enough away from them "You're the one who kidnapped me to go camping for a month!" I blame him but also at the same time just teasing him cause it was a really nice month we spent together. "We can get something to eat but then you need to help me find something to wear to the wedding, I don't own any nice clothes, I also need to figure out what to get them for a present, I tell him and loosen my grip on him "You'll be coming with me, right?" I ask, looking up at him and he sighs "I don't really have a choice, do I?" He says making me laugh a little and nod as a response. We decide on something to eat before going to a few clothing shops and trying on many things for me to wear to the wedding, Kakashi already had formal wear so he didn't need to buy anything but gave his opinions on my clothes instead. "How do we feel about this one?" I ask, coming out of a dressing room in a simple kimono but the obi had a subtle flower pattern that matched the inside of the sleeves.
"Wow," Kakashi says, leaning forward a bit and he's running his eyes all over me, I start to blush "Is it too much? I don't want to draw the attention away from Hisoka on her wedding day" I say and look in the nearby mirror, checking myself out now "No, no," Kakashi says, walking towards me now and standing behind me in the mirror "It's perfect" He says just quiet enough for me to hear and I blush harder before going back into the changing room to take it off and buy it. I buy the kimono and start to think about ways to style my hair then back to what I should buy Juro and Hisoka for their wedding. "What's a good wedding gift idea? I know they've already been living together to a while now so they must have everything they need in their home" I think out loud and put my hand on my chin "Why not just give the money then?" Kakashi pipes up and I shake my head "I want to give them something special and something they use, hopefully," I say "What about a bamboo tea set? Maybe I could customize it somehow?" I say and see Kakashi nod "That sounds like a good idea" He agrees and I smile at him.
A week goes by and it's finally time to Hisoka's and Juro's wedding and I was at home getting ready, Kakashi was waiting out in the living room as I did my hair and makeup and coming out fully dressed and ready to go "Wow," Kakashi says again like the first time I came out in this kimono only with my hair and make up done this time "I swear Kakashi, if you make me blush this entire wedding I'm going to kill you" I tell him, laughing a little and he just smiles back at me "Let's get going, we don't want to be late" Is all the says, holding out a hand to me and carrying my present in his other hand. I take hold of his hand and we leave. We show up at Juro's parents home and there's a trail guiding the guests to the back and a little into the woods behind their home, we come into a clearing and see it's all set up and I look around in awe at how beautiful it is then look over at Kakashi "Don't get any ideas" He tells me and I blush again "I wasn't," I pout. The wedding is beautiful and very sentimental. Kakashi and I go up to Juro and Hisoka after the wedding to congratulate them and I tear up a little bit "I'm so happy for you two, I hope you live a perfect and happy life together!" I say, hugging each of them "Congratulations" Kakashi says and bows a little to them "If I may ask," He says when he stands straight again "I don't see any of the Akiyama clan here, why is that?" He asks and I lower my head a little, placing a hand on his arm and shaking my head a little "My family didn't approve of my choice to marry Juro, they made an arranged marriage for me years ago and I refused to marry the person they chose" Hisoka explains and looks up at Juro "Juro let me move into his home and my family disowned me ever since" She finishes but smiles at Kakashi "Juro and Akane are my family now, that's all I need" She says and I look up finally, smiling softly at Hisoka for including me in her now, small family.
We enjoy the rest of the wedding before congratulating Juro and Hisoka once more and heading home. "That was beautiful," I tell Kakashi as we slowly walked the streets of Konoha in the late night, holding hands. "It really was," Kakashi says quietly we walk in silence for a little longer before I speak up again "Would you ever want to get married?" I ask, stopping in my tracks and letting go of his hand, he thinks for a moment "I don't know, I never really thought about it before" He admits and I nod while looking at my feet "What about you?" He asks me and I look up at him again "I-I don't know either" I admit, thinking about it for the first time and he grabs my hand again "Let's just live for today. There's no rush, the future will still come when it does" Kakashi says, kissing my cheek and we continue to walk again. We get close to my apartment and we stop outside at the bottom of the building "Akane sensei, Kaka sensei!" We hear and turn around to see Sakura running up to us "Wow, you look beautiful Akane sensei" She says when she gets up to us "Thank you, Sakura" I say, blushing a bit "Why are you two so dressed up?" She asks "My friends got married today, we just came back from it," I tell her and she smiles while looking up with closed eyes "A wedding huh? Must be nice having someone to love" Sakura sighs softly before looking back at Kakashi and me, I place a hand on her shoulder and give her a smile "Have a good night, I'll get going now," Sakura says, giving the both of us a hug and catching us off guard before jogging off.
