Kakashi's P.O.V

For three months straight, Sakura and I have been meeting up every morning and spend some time with Akane before we're kicked out for her sponge bath. "How's training with Lady Tsunade going?" I ask Sakura and look down at her as we walk towards the hospital "It's a lot of work but I feel like I'm getting better" Sakura says and smiles at the ground "I feel as if this is want I was meant to do" She says and I smile as well "That's great" I tell her, she looks up at me and smiles. We get into the hospital and doctors and nurses are running all around "Kakashi" Hanibi, a friend of Akane's and the doctor that was treating her stops where he was running to when he sees me "What's going on Hanibi? Is something wrong?" I ask as Hanibi pants "Akane, her heart stopped" He says between breaths. My own breath catches in my throat and it hurts to breathe, I frozen in shock "I-is she?" Sakura starts to ask but Hanibi shakes his head "We were able to start her heart again, but when we did her chakra started leaving her body, as if it were rejecting her" He explains and my breathing seems to get better "You asshole, why did you stop at 'her heart stopped'?!" I growl and Hanibi takes a step back from me "It's okay Kakashi sensei" Sakura says and holds into my sleeve.

"Dr. Hanibi! You're needed!" A voice calls out and Hanibi looks in the direction of the voice "I'm sorry but I have to go, I'll make sure you guys are up to date on her condition"Hanibi says before rushing off. My body is still tense from being angry and frozen in shock 'Is she going to be okay?' Runs through my mind 'Don't die on me Akane'. "Kakashi sensei" Sakura says and I look down at her "Let's go, we don't want to get in their way" She finishes, I think for a moment before nodding and walking out of the hospital behind her "I'm going to go train on my own, don't push yourself too hard with your training, Sakura" I tell her before rushing off. I went to the most secluded training grounds and walked up to a boulder where I just started punching it, I needed to hit something to get my anger out. It wasn't long till the boulder broke and I had to move on to another one. I was there all day, even when it started to rain really hard around noon, I stayed there till almost midnight. "There you are, my lifelong rival!" A familiar voice comes up behind me, I sigh and retract my fist from the boulder where it then breaks apart into small pieces. "Let's battle" Gai says and I turn around to find him already in a fighting stance "I'm not in the mood, Gai" I tell him and walk over to were I stand under a little ledge that pops out from the cliff we were by.

"Sakura's worried about you" Gai says, in his normal voice now and stands next to me "And she's right to be, you're soaking wet" Gai observes and looks me up and down "How long have you been out here?" Gai asks and I sigh before sitting down, my legs finally giving in "Since eight this morning" I tell him "Come on" Gai says and pulls me up "Let's get you home" He says before simply throwing me on his back "I can walk myself" I tell him and try to get off but he has a tight grip on me "I don't think you can" Gai says and I sigh at knowing he's right "Just take me the back way home then please, I don't want people seeing me like this" I tell him, he simply nods before heading off in the direction of my house.

It's been two more months now, this morning Sakura and I were finally told that Akane was now back into her state of a coma and was looking better. She's been in the hospital for a total of seven months now and my mind was eating away at itself, even with the good news I was still thinking about if she was going to survive and if she did then would she be back to normal and all these other things. Everyone's been trying to distract me with anything they could, Gai has gotten back into the habit of trying to fight me everyday like when we were kids. It was nice that they are worried about me but it also makes me feel worse, I don't need them to worry about me, I want them to be thinking about Akane. It was the next day now, Sakura and I decided to spend the whole day at Akane's hospital room, we'd only leave the room when we were told to but then go back in when we could. "You brought her flowers?" Sakura asks once we meet up and notices me holding a vase of red amaryllises "They're from Kurenai" I tell her, Sakura simply nods as if she doesn't believe it but it was true, I told Kurenai that I'd be going to see Akane and she told me to but these on her bed side table.

In the morning, Sakura spends the entire time talking with Akane like she did the first time we were allowed to see her. She catches her up on the weather once more and how her training is going, after her sponge bath we go back inside and Sakura starts reading notes to Akane "What are those?" I ask and look at them "They're from all of Akane sensei's friends, I also have one from Naruto and Sasuke" Sakura tells me and smiles, Sakura reads the one Naruto sent Akane then turns to me "He also sent you a little note" She tells me and I'm confused "Take care of my sister and see that she gets better soon, dattebayo!" Sakura says and does Naruto's tick word as if she were him which makes me laugh a feel a bit better.
