Akane's P.O.V

Team Kakashi's mission gets changed while they're away and they head off to the sand to save the Kazekage that had been kidnapped. Quite a bit of time passes by while they're away and I plop down to the ground for a break from training with Hisoka and Juro. "Everything alright?" Hisoka asks, sitting next to me and I nod while a sigh "Yeah, just missing Kakashi" I tell her and give her a small smile which she returns and Juro sits down with us too, handing us each a bento box of lunch that Hisoka prepared and we dig in. We sit and talk during lunch and Hisoka finishes well before Juro and I "Are you feeling okay Hisoka?" I ask her, noticing she didn't eat everything "Yeah, just been feeling a bit sick lately," She tells me and I look at her confused cause she's normally very healthy "Maybe you should go see the doctor, this just started randomly right?" I ask and she nods "Yeah, a couple of days ago she puked just out of the blue and hasn't been feeling the same since" Juro speaks up, shoving food into his mouth "I don't mind ending training here for today if you want to go to the doctor, I tell her and she nods a little, cleaning up her bento box and getting ready to leave "Right now?" Juro asks, still eating and I raise a hand to threaten him "Yes right now," I say and he flinches before nodding and collecting everything.

We all go back to headquarters together and then to the hospital, I follow in tail having nothing else to really do especially with Kakashi gone. "I'll wait out here," I tell them, standing at the hospital gates and they nod before heading inside. I walk around a bit before sitting on a nearby bench and deciding to focus on getting my 100 healings mark back during this downtime. Just before they came back out of the hospital, I feel the mark appear on my forehead and I smile to myself, hoping this meant that I would be able to get back to functioning back to normal with my mark back. "Akane," I hear Juro say and I open my eyes to see them both standing before me "What did the doctor say?" I ask and Hisoka lets a few tears fall and I start to get worried "She's pregnant" Juro tells me, crying now too and I gasp "No way!" I yell and pull them both into a hug "I'm so happy for you two, I know you're just gonna be wonderful parents" I tell them, crying myself now and we stay in each other's arms for a moment before I finally pull away "I'm apparently a week pregnant which explains the way I've been feeling lately" Hisoka says and I wipe my tears away "I would have never guessed" I say and we all laugh a little "I'm sure you want to go tell everyone so I'll head out" I tell them and give another smile before we go our separate ways. Hearing their news gets me thinking about would it would be like to have kids of my own someday but also thinking that probably would never happen anyways.

About a month goes by and team Kakashi finally comes home, I rush to the hospital hearing Kakashi was admitted and burst into his room and blush when I see everyone in there, including Lady Tsunade "I'm sorry," I say bowing deeply and quietly closing to door "It'll be a few days before you can return to duty Kakashi," Tsunade says and he sighs "Guess that's how it goes, looks like it will take some time for me to master my new Sharingan" He says "Team Gai should report and take a few days off too" Tsunade continues and Gai respond with a yes "Let's go, Shizune" Tsunade says, I bow as she walks past me and she puts a hand on my shoulder "He'll be fine, he just overdid it" She tells me "Thank you," I say and she leaves with Sakura chasing after her. "Dammit Kakashi, you need to stop scarring my like that" I lecture him and stomp my way over to him and flick his forehead "I'm sorry," He laughs which makes me even madder "It's not Kaka-sensei's fault Akane-sensei," Lee tells me and I let out a huff "Why are you getting so mad at him anyway, he's a grown man" Neji pipes up and I look at him confused "Akane and Kaka-sensei have been dating for a while now, Neji," Tenten tells him and he stares at her "Really?!" Neji and Lee burst at the same time making Tenten sigh and shake her head "Gai didn't tell you?" I ask and they shake their heads "Then how did you know, Tenten" I ask her "Sakura told me, and it's not like you two have been hiding it either" She says, making Kakashi and I laugh "I guess that's true" Kakashi says "We'll get going now, recover soon Kakashi!" Gai says and they all leave.

I sigh and bring a chair to his bedside "You don't have to stay with me" He tells me and I sit back in my chair, closing my eyes "I missed you," I say and can feel the blush on my face he grunts and I open my eyes to see him try and sit up but I lightly push him back down "Don't move, just relax for now" I tell him "Give me your hand then," He says and I look at him confused but he lifts his hand and holds it out, I grab his hand and he holds onto me tightly "I missed you too," He tells me and I blush harder this time, making him laugh at him "I'll flick you again" I threaten him and he stops laughing, we sit in silence for a little just holding hands and I eventually fall asleep. I wake up a while later when a nurse comes in to check up on Kakashi "Hello," She says and gives me a little bow to which I return, as she looks at Kakashi's chart she says to me "I remember you from before, how are you doing" She asks and looks at me "I'm much better now, thank you" I tell her and she smiles "I'll be back later with your dinner Hatake-san" She says and he nods while she leaves. 

"You know," I say after a moment and help him put on one of his shirts so he doesn't have to keep using the blanket to cover his face "Hisoka and Juro are pregnant" I finish and he looks at me in shock "Already?" He asks and I laugh "What's that supposed to mean? They've been together for a decade or something like that" I tell him "Yeah but they just got married" He says and I shrug then we sit in silence again "Would you ever want kids?" I ask him and see that it throws him off guard "I- I don't know," He says and I nod, he clears his throat before asking "What about you?" I shrug "Hisoka being pregnant got me thinking about it but I don't really know either," I tell him and he just nods as well as I did to his response.
