Kakashi's P.O.V

"I thought you said she would be okay! You said she'd be in a coma for only a few months!" I yell at Lady Tsunade in her office, Akane has been in the hospital for a year and three months now. She's been showing no signs of getting better or worse and the doctors are starting to give up on her "They're giving up on her! They want to just cut her off so they don't want to deal with her anymore! You lied to me!" I keep yelling at her and she just sighs "Kakashi, please calm down" She tells me but I can't, I won't till she gives me answers and helps Akane "I did say she would get better but I didn't say when exactly that would be" She tells me and she's right, she only said that Akane would be in a coma for 'awhile' "You said that she'd be in a coma for 'awhile' and that means probably for a few months at most, not a year and then some! What if she never wakes up?! What are you going to do when your best medical ninja and best ninja overall dies and she's gone?! She's the last of her clan, what's going to happen to all the people she was supposed to save?! What's going to happen to you and the village when the ninja with the most unique and useful kekkei genkai dies?!" I keep yelling, Lady Tsunade stands and slams her open hands onto her her, most likely trying to throw me off guard or trying to be imitating.

"Listen Kakashi" Lady Tsunade says slowly while looking at her desk then she looks up at me right in the eyes "I understand that you're mad and upset and all these other feelings but you need to calm down. I'll go to the hospital and talk with the staff about her situation and what the best option is going to be for her. I'll do what I can but I can't guarantee anything" She tells me, I take a deep breath before nodding and saying a 'thank you' just loud enough for her to hear in a still angry voice. "Now, lets go to the hospital and see what's up" She says in a nicer voice than before and walks around her desk and out the door, I follow behind her "Where are you going Lady Tsunade? You have paper work you need to finish" Lady Tsunade's assistant, Shizune, asks as we walk past her "To the hospital, I'll do it later" Lady Tsunade responds. The walk to the hospital is awkward with lots of tension between us. "Good after noon Hokage Tsunade, is there anything we can help you with today?" The lady behind the desk asks once Lady Tsunade and I get there "I need to see patient Akane Mitizu and I need to talk to all the staff in charge of her" She says and the lady nods "You may go into her room, I'll gather all the doctors" The lady says before walking away with a clip board. I start to follow Lady Tsunade but she stops walking and turns to me "You need to stay out here Kakashi, no coming into the room, period" She tells me, I go to protest but stop myself knowing that she won't change her mind, I simply nod and sit down with a huff.

It feels like it's been hours when Lady Tsunade finally comes out and sits down with a sigh next to me, I sit up and turn my body towards her a little, eagerly waiting to hear something. She mumbles something but I couldn't make out what it was "Sorry, I didn't catch that" I say, she sits straight and looks me in the eyes "She's awake" She says and instantly I'm on my feet "She is?!" I ask looking down at her and she nods then stands as well "But you won't be able to see her for a month, at least" She tells me so I look in the direction of Akane's room "Really?" I ask quietly and I see her nod out of the corner of my eye "We aren't sure yet if she needs to do speech and walking therapy but if she does then that will be awhile, we do know for sure that she needs to at least walk with a cane for awhile since her body is weak. She will also need to be under watch for at least 6 months in the hospital so the earliest she can be released is in 6 months" Lady Tsunade tells me, I look at her and nod "Do you have an estimate of when the earliest time I can see her is?" I ask but she shakes her head "It might be in a month or it might be longer, we have to watch her for sometime before we can decide anything, I'm sorry" She tells me but I shake my head "No, I'm sorry for yelling at you. And thank you so much for all your help" I say and bow lowly to her "She's a tough one, I'm excited to see what she can do when she's all better" Lady Tsunade says and I stand straight again.

"I know I should have asked this sooner but, do you know what exactly was making her ill?" I ask "She had poison in her chakra, no one's ever seen anything like it before. Her chakra started to kill her from the inside out but thankfully the nurses and doctors here were smart enough to put her through chakra treatment, if they didn't then I wouldn't have been able to help her. You should thank them as well" She tells me and I nod "I will" I say and she smiles "I'll make sure to let you know when you're able to see Akane but for the time being you are going to be going on missions, no slacking off. Got it?" Lady Tsunade says and I nod "Got it" I respond.
