Y/N's POV
It has been a week since I was discharged from the hospital and somehow, my condition's improving.
Aside from my condition, I am glad that Patrick, his friends and me are getting close to one another. I couldn't believe it, but I know I can establish a friendly relationship with them.
There are times that they spend their time in our house, joining me since no one's around except me.
I'm always with them all the time during lunch breaks and vacant times. I also help them compose some of their songs since they're trying to join a band competition.
-----
"I'm inviting you to my Mom's birthday." Patrick mutters as we walk back to our houses.
"I don't know if I would be able to sneak out tonight." I said, gazing on our lonely house and knowing that I'm uncertain if one of my family members will come home tonight.
"I'll just...uh...knock on your door, at least?"
"Deal," I say, walking to the direction of our house.
For three straight weeks, neither Mom nor Steve went home. It was just me and Maggie inside the household.
It seemed that Maggie has a practice or some stuff I don't mess with. I immediately bolt to my room, so I could change my clothes.
The moment I stood on the doorway of my room, I found my things scattered on the ground.
The colored Sharpies are snapped in half and some of the markers has their ink spilling on the ground. The sketch pad I kept securely met the same fate; some of the pages were torn and some has been shredded into pieces. I immediately grabbed my bag and tried to find my comic book.
I sighed in relief as it rests inside the secret packet I discovered months ago. Good grief.
I check the pages of the comic book; it is still complete. I immediately grabbed the other issues of Watchmen that I have and stuffed them in my bag.
As I pick up the pieces of snapped Sharpies, I unveiled something not worth seeing written on the floor.
You're a slut.
Nobody loves you.
You're unimportant.
She should have aborted you.
The words were written with a permanent marker. I pick up the pieces of paper and found another one.
You should have died.
And rot in hell just like what other hideous creatures do.
Chills shiver me down my spine as I stare at the messages written on the floor.
I read the line 'You should have died', I don't know how to feel about it. Did they know that I was attacked during my stay in the hospital?
I hastily bolted downstairs to the storage room and looked for the cleaning detergent that I always use. I hope it is effective.
I went back upstairs with a sponge and the detergent. I scatter the detergent on the notes, tears escaping from my eyes.
My life is in jeopardy; I can tell. The moment I was attacked from the hospital and now this.
I splash some water, the ineffective detergent on the threats that were written on the floor.

Patrick's POV
I wait on their porch as I pressed the doorbell for the third time. Y/N must be having a hard time wondering what to wear.
Since the curtains were dramatically set, I could see her hurdling downstairs, but not to the main door.
I press the doorbell again, hoping she'll open the door.
The door flew open, as I met her face full of fear; trails of her tears were visible on her face as there were beads of sweat on her head.
She was panting the moment she saw me and right at this point, I'm feeling that something's not going right.
"What's wrong?" I ask, wiping her tears away. She grabbed my wrist and dragged me upstairs to her room.
There were colored pens on the ground, snapped in two as the ink spills and on the right side, there goes a sketch book, torn and the papers shredded into pieces.
It seemed that there was something written on the floor; the marker's a little faded for Y/N tried to erase it.
"Who did this?" I ask, reading every word of the sickening note on the floor.
"I don't know, Patrick. Everything's on the floor when I went here and...and left my door closed before I went to school." She says, clutching her stringbag on her chest as she shakes in fear.
I was scared too, but I don't want her to see that I am. I approach her and took her arm as I drag her out of her house and danger.
-----
Fear of being unsecured was taken away from her face when I brought her to ours and the more people there are around her, the more she feels comfortable.
Y/N, on the other hand, agreed to stay with us since I don't feel she's safe there all alone.
My mother was handling her clothes when Dad went to us, saying Maggie's downstairs, picking up Y/N.
I look at her, telling her that I don't want her to go back there.
She closed her eyes and sighed. "Patrick, I'll be fine." She places the clothes on my bed, as she clutches her stringbag.
She hands it to me. "Do me a favor. Please keep it. I know these are safe with you."
"S-sure." I said, taking the stringbag with me. "We'll do physics project tomorrow, right?"
"Yeah and we'll have pizza." She says, smiling sweetly at me before going downstairs.
