She's the girl that has been taken for granted (or unappreciated) and played by the boys she wanted to be with.

He traced the dark bags underneath her eyes that were already tired of crying. A soft smile plastered on his lips as he kept on repeating the mantra in his head: I'm so lucky to have you, Y/N and I am not wasting that.

You hummed softly and flicked your eyes open and found your boyfriend staring at you.

"Patrick? Why aren't you asleep?" You murmured, draping a leg on his.

"I...just realized something." Patrick replied with a smile.

"Like what?"

"I am so lucky to have you and I wanted to tell the world that." He smiled once again and traced your lower lip.

However, the warm smile on his face melted as you had doubts on what he has said; you have heard the same words over and over again from every guy you're dating.

"I'm pretty sure I heard that from everyone I've been with." You said sadly, turning on your left.

"Y/N." Patrick called. "If you ever doubt my words, always remember that actions speak louder. I...I don't know how to fix a broken person, but I'll make sure you won't expect me to break you...just like what you've told me."

You turned back at him, a small smile forming on your lips.

"I promise." Patrick murmured, kissing your forehead.
