"Is there anything wrong?" Patrick said as he wrapped his arms around your waist.

While he was nuzzling your neck and ready to initiate a sinful night, you pursed your lips. As your mind was scattered into a million pieces, you were unconscious on what he was doing.

On the other hand, while you were still in a trance, he has sucked on your skin and left a mad hickey.

You pushed him, the moment you've gotten back to your senses.

"My love, what's wrong?" He said, lust gleaming on his eyes.
You held up your hands in the air, making him stop on his tracks. "Whatever you're doing, please think about it, Patrick."

"We're going to make love tonight, so please enough with the chit chat." He said, trying to seduce you.

You sighed in defeat. "You wanna know what's making me?"

"We better settle that first before everything else." He wiggles his eyebrows at you.

You shook your head and started to scroll on your photo gallery.

Shooting the look whenever he does something wrong, you gazed on the photo and pursed your lips.

"Y-you're married, right?" You said, the colors flushing away from his face. Showing him the photo from your phone made him pale as if he's going to collapse any minute.

Patrick wasn't able to look at you the way he used to a while ago. He just stood there, his hands in his pockets and shuffling on his feet.

"So you've known the secret I kept?" He murmurs. "Did my friends tell you?"

"Saw it on my own," you said softly. "You have a lovely wife and an adorable kid."

"And a horrible father," he said before collapsing on his knees. "Go on. Do whatever you want, hit me, punch me or anything that seems fit." You knelt down right in front him as he looked at the other direction.

"I wanna tell you something, but please tell me why you're doing this."

He sighs sharply as he fumbles with his fingers. "I was always on tour...away from them. She couldn't understand, and that's what I have seen in you...your ability to understand someone."

"Does she know?"

Patrick shook his head, tears skimming down on his cheeks.

You cupped his face, your thumbs wiping down the tears cascading. "When I saw you with her and your kid, I remember how miserable my childhood was." You started. "I came from a broken family, Patrick."

He calmed down a little when you started to brush his hair with your fingers.

"One day, I saw my father with another woman and it wasn't my mother." You chuckled at the memory. "He was really thoughtful; he'll give me toys so I would shut my mouth about it. His plan fell out of hand when my mother came home early, seeing the entire scenario what my father has done."

"They divorced?" He asked.

"Yes, she called her lawyers the day after. As a result, I have to go to two different houses in holidays. All I wanted to do was to clone another me so I could join them everytime."

You sighed. "I'm telling you that because I don't want your child growing with a broken family."

"But she--"

You placed a finger on his lips, silencing him. "All I wanted you to do is...give all the attention you're giving me to your wife and your kid. Spoil them, just like how you did with me."

"I'm not ready to...you know, the memories we had."

"If you love me, let me go." You whispered. "Don't waste the vows you made effort on when you got married."

You kissed him on his forehead, sniffing his scent as if it was your life line.

He circled his finger on your neck. "I'm sorry about this."

"It's nothing, Patrick." You whispered, your lips twitching into a smile. "No one's deserving your love, except for your family, of course."

He wrapped his arms around you.

A few moments later, Patrick bid farewell to you. You didn't feel anything like hard feeling for making him return to his family.

It's just that you don't want your history to repeat on people around you and the ones that are around them. It's miserable.

The moment you closed your door, you eyed the family picture you've kept for years. The people in the picture seemed happy, but in reality, they weren't.

You sighed as the frame reflected the souvenir Patrick left you.

"That naughty little man." You murmured, grabbing your make-up kit.
