"You would think after what we've just done, I wouldn't be embarrassed, but when you look at me like that...I can't stop myself."

"Look at you how, love?"

"Like you want to devour me." I giggled.

"I do and I did." He said with that devilish grin.

"Now, I really do have to get home. I have chores to attend to." I said sternly.

"Okay let me walk you out." He said pulling on his clothes. I checked my hair in the hall mirror. When I was satisfied I headed for the front door. Drake caught me by the waist and turned me to face him. He cupped my face in his hands and planted a soft kiss on my lips.

"I will see you soon, my love."

"Drake?"

"Yes, love?"

"Why do you keep calling me that? I mean you barely know me. You can't possibly be in love with me." I said quietly.

"Oh yes, my love, I can. I have been from the moment I laid eyes on you. Now I just have to get you to love me back." He said smiling.

"I think it might not be as hard as you think. I'll see you soon. When your schedule permits, that is." I said stroking his face gently.

"I promise." He whispered. I turned and walked slowly to my carriage. I climbed up and turned the horse around and headed home. I was so happy. I wanted Drake to ask me to marry him. I needed to talk to my mother. I had so many questions. Before I knew it I was home. I put the horse in the stable and crept quietly inside. I quietly shut the door and turned to go to my room.

"I don't like you being out so late." My mother said sternly.

"Mother! You scared me. I'm sorry."

"So, where have you been? I know you weren't at the market this whole time." She asked sipping her tea.

"I was...well...please don't tell father and don't freak out." I pleaded.

"We will see." She answered flatly.

"I was with Drake." I said quietly.

"I see. Was he a gentle...man?" She asked her eyebrows raised. I blushed.

"Yes, he was. Oh mother he is so amazing and gentle and beautiful. I think he is the one, mother, I really do."

"Then there is only one thing left to say." My mother stood then and put her hands on her hips. The sign of bad lectures to come. I closed my eyes and waited for the worst. "I'm so happy for you dear." She said holding her arms open to me for a hug. I jumped up and hugged her fiercely.

"Now go upstairs and soak. It will help with the soreness. Then you can rest for the day." She whispered.

"But what about my chores and father?"

"I told him you had a fever. The other children can help me with your chores today. Go on now."

"Thank you mother." I kissed her cheek and bounced lightly upstairs.

As I slid down into the hot tub, my mind went to thoughts of Drake. I closed my eyes and imagined he was with me. I could feel him touching my body softly. I touched myself where I imagined he was touching me. My breath quickened and I moaned softly. I trailed my hand over my breasts. I rolled my nipple between my fingers. I imagined Drake sucking it. It was so vivid I swore I could feel his breath on me. I went lower until I reached my sensitive spot. I remembered what Drake had done and mimicked it. I felt myself getting hot. I grabbed my breast with my free hand and massaged. Just when I thought I couldn't climax alone, I imagined Drake entering me. I pumped and bucked against my hand and had to bite my lip to keep from screaming out in pleasure. I blushed and laughed at myself. I licked my lips and tasted blood. The taste excited me all over again. I opened my eyes and focused on my surroundings. When I was calm again I realized my bath was getting cold. I climbed out and dried off. I pulled on my lace nightgown and crawled under my blankets. The sheets were soft and cool against my skin. My thoughts were full of Drake as I drifted off to sleep.

I woke with a start falling out of my bed and hitting the floor hard. "Bloody hell!" I yelled. I got to my feet and rubbed the sore spot on my bottom. I could hear my parents yelling at each other. I heard dishes being thrown around. I quickly got dressed and ran down stairs. When I entered the kitchen my father had my mother by the throat yelling at her about chores. I didn't even hesitate. I ran at my father and lifted him off the floor with one hand and threw him across the room.

"Don't you ever put your hands on my mother like that again." I screamed at him while he looked at me with total shock. My mother gasped for breath.

"Twilight how dare you treat your father in such a way." She whispered hoarsely. I spun on my heels to face her.

"Are you mad? He would have choked the life right out of you if I hadn't stopped him."

"It was my fault. I didn't have dinner ready." My mother pleaded.

"You have got to be joking? Why do you keep defending him? He's a monster!" I yelled at her.

"You will not speak to me in that way about your father." She said sternly. I lost it.

"Don't worry about it anymore, mother. I'm leaving tonight. You will not force me to stay here and watch him break you down any longer. I will not stand idly by and watch him kill you over a damn dinner." I spun around and stomped up the stairs before my mother could respond. I slammed my bedroom door behind me and searched my room for a suitcase. I found it in the back of my closet. I threw it onto my bed and began stuffing my clothes into it. I had to sit on top of it to get it to close. I found a smaller bag to put my books and other trinkets in. I pulled on my cloak and carried my bags down stairs. I almost made it to the front door when my mother spoke to me from the dark.

"Where will you go?"

"Wherever I want." I said smartly. "Where's father?"

"He went back out to the fields." She answered quietly.

I grunted. "To get even more drunk I suppose?"

"Twilight, please stay." She begged.

"I can't." I opened the door and stepped out into the night. I had to fight back the tears that were threatening to come. I headed towards the market. I had a stash of money so I could rent a room for the night.
