I woke with the sun peeking through the curtains. I stretched and yawned and rolled over to find the bed empty. I sat up and looked around the room.

"Drake?" I called out. No answer. I threw the sheets back and climbed out of the bed. I put the robe on that was in the floor and then it hit her that she didn't know where Drake had put her clothes. "Guess it's time to explore." I said smiling.

I tightened the robe around me and headed towards the closet. I opened the door and gasped.

"I hope you like them." Drake said quietly from the doorway.

"But how...when did you do this?" I said turning around to face him.

Drake simply smiled and walked over to the bedside table with a tray I just realized he held in his hands. He had made me breakfast.

"I had them made after you left the other night." He said beaming.

"So sure I was coming back to stay." I said putting my hands on my hips.

"I hoped. I told you I was going to convenience you that we belong together." He said pouring me some coffee.

"And what if I'd said no?" I said teasingly.

"That thought never occurred to me, but I guess I would have sold them or donated them to the church." He said.

"You are so arrogant, Mr....what is your last name?" I asked laughing.

"My full name is Drake Xavier Hunter." He said with a small bow.

"Nice to meet you. My name is Twilight Rose Kastle."

"Nice to meet you, my lady. Now, come, have your breakfast. We have lots to do today and sometime today I need to work."

I smiled and glided over to the bed and sat on the edge.

"This looks delicious."

"Enjoy." Drake said smiling.

"Wait, you're not eating?" I asked giving him a curious look.

"I ate. Now I'm going to shower. I want you to go into the living room when you're done. I have another surprise for you by the fireplace." He said with a mischievous grin. I giggled and began eating taking only small bites. As soon as Drake left the room I began shoveling the food into my mouth. I almost choked a couple of times. I finished my meal, downed the hot coffee and took my dishes to the kitchen and rinsed them off. I dried my hands and took a deep breath.

Entering the living room I covered my mouth to muffle a scream. Hanging from the ceiling was the most beautifully elegant wedding dress I had ever seen.

"Do you think it will do?" Drake asked coming into the room dressed only in a towel.

"Oh Drake it's so...I don't even have the words."

"I bought it this morning. Why don't you try it on while I get dressed? Then we will go into town and get things ready for our wedding." He said hugging me close.

I sighed and wiggled from his embrace. "You can't come back in the room, though, until I've taken it back off. It's bad luck to see me in it before the wedding." I said sternly.

Drake threw back his head and laughed. "Just yell when you're ready then."

I gently got the dress down and off the hanger. When I figured out how to get it on without ripping it, I stepped into it. I fastened the dress around me and looked down at myself. It fit perfectly. It hugged closely to my torso, then billowed out at the waist. I turned slowly in a circle. When I stopped I looked down again and noticed the dress was wrapped around my legs. It had a very long train. I had to be extra careful taking it off. I hung it back up and pulled the robe back on.
