chapter 10

We entered our room to find Starlight standing in the middle of our room with her hands on her hips. I couldn't help but laugh.

"I do not find disobeying my orders to be the least bit funny." She said sternly.

"It's not that, I do apologize, it's just, that's such a human gesture." I said pointing at her.

"Yes, well, it seemed to work for you. Now get back into bed Drake. Now." She said pointing. Drake smiled and walked over to the bed. He crawled in and snuggled down. I laughed but immediately stifled it when I saw the look Starlight was giving me.

"And you should not have allowed him to get up. He is not as strong as he thinks yet. Now, come join him and I will tell you what I have revealed so that we may all get some rest before the sun rises." I smiled to myself and walked to the bed and crawled in beside Drake. Starlight sat on the chest at the end of the bed.

"Ok, I am not one hundred percent sure, but what I have found explains a lot about Twilight's abilities. First of all, you are part human, part Siren, and part something else. I have not been able to locate that part yet." She explained softly.

"Yes we went to see Roman and he came to the same conclusion." I said.

"Yes. My best guess is that the third part of you is either witch or necromancer."

"What...are you sure? I mean..." Drake sat up.

"As far as I can tell those two are the only ones who have that kind of power." Starlight stated.

"So what does this mean exactly?" I asked sleepily.

"Well if it is witch, then there will be a limit to your power. If it is necromancer, however, you power may very well be vast." Starlight concluded smiling.

"Is there a way to test her to see which one it is?" Drake asked lying back on the pillows again.

"I'll see if I can come up with some ideas. I'll make a list and see you tomorrow. "

"Okay." We both answered through a yawn. Starlight nodded her good bye and vanished.

"I did not know she could do that." Drake said laughing. We snuggled up together and drifted off to sleep.

"Twilight, honey, it's time to get up. Starlight is waiting for you. She is very excited." Drake whispered softly in my ear. I opened my eyes and let out a small groan.

"I know, my love." He smiled.

"Why now? I'm so tired. I feel really..." I looked down at my stomach and let out a horrendous scream. Drake was thrown backwards off the bed. He rolled quickly to his knees and covered his ears.

"What the hell?" He yelled. I stopped and began to cry. Drake recovered and came to me. "Honey, what is it?" He pulled me into his warm embrace and stroked my hair.

"I'm huge. How did this happen? How long was I asleep?" I sobbed.

Drake chocked back a laugh and pushed her enough away form him so he could look at her face.

"We talked about this, my love. This child is not human. He will grow differently. You are not huge. You look beautiful."

"Liar. I'm sorry about the scream. I wonder how many people heard it?"

"I'm sure we will find out. Let's get you dressed and go see Starlight." I climbed out of bed and had to adjust my walking balance to accommodate the new weight. Drake watched me as I chose my clothes carefully. He smiled.
