“Wait Natalie!” Dustin said as he ran after me.

I couldn’t breath it was like a weight was just put on my heart. Tears were pouring out of my eyes like a waterfall. I felt like I was going to die. All I needed was sometime by myself. How could Dustin do this to me? Telling my that Courtney’s a bad person and next thing I know he’s kissing her. I ran into the bathroom and when in a stall and put the lid the toilet down and sat down.

I never want to talk to Dustin again. If he likes Courtney so much why doesn’t he just ask her to go with him? He didn’t need to bring another girl into it to break her heart to.

I soon calmed down and was silent.

“Please go in there and tell her what happened.” I heard Dustin say.

“Fine.” I heard Courtney say as the door to the bathroom flung open.

“Natalie? Where are you?”

I heard her pound on a door. “Natalie open up I know you’re in there.”

There was no reply. So she opened the door.

“What are you doing you weirdo? Cant you see im using the bathroom?”

“Sorry.” Courtney said.

She walked over to my stall and opened the door. “Can I talk to you?”

I didn’t respond.

“Look im sorry if it looked like we were kissing.”

“Looked like it you were.”

“I swear it wasn’t my fault he just attacked me.”

“Really?”

“Ya, I swear on my high heels.”

It got serious then because if Courtney is willing to swear on her clothing it meant she wasn’t joking.

“Ok. I’m still mad at Dustin though.”

“Well he did do it to make you jealous.”

“Why would he want me to be jealous?”

“He thinks you will leave him for another guy that looks better then him.”

“Wow he is so unsecure.”

“I know right. I’m really sorry, but I swear it wasn’t my fault.”

We exited the bathroom. Dustin was standing there, but I ignored him and just left. I wanted to go home. So my mom wouldn’t ask why I didn’t stay for the rest of the school day I decided to go see a movie.

Dustin’s view

“What did you tell her?”

“I told her what happened.”

“What did she say?”

“She just said ok.”

“So you did tell her that you told me to close my eyes because you had a birthday gift for me and when I closed my eyes you kissed me?”

“No.”

“Why?”

“Because that’s not the story im going with.”

“Courtney! How could you?”

“You better go to the dance with me or else you’re not getting your pay.”

“I don’t want your money.”

“How are you going to cure your moms cancer?”

“Get a job. Never talk about my mom and never tell anyone.”

“I will.”

“What ever Courtney.” I said as I left the building. The best place to get a job is at where?

The mall. I got to the mall. So where do I want to work? How about an eye doctor’s place.

I got there and asked if there were any jobs available. There was and I went and had my interview. Apparently, he hired my by just looking at me and he wanted me to start right away. So I got to work.

I got out of the movie. It’s weird because the main character was a nerd and then she met a dude and she ends up liking him. Then there’s this mean girl and she was like the ex-girlfriend of the dude. And on, and on, and on, but what I think the story or actually a story that sounded like it was based on my life ended up being very touching and it made me cry. What I learned is that I should give Dustin time to explain his version of the story. Even if I don’t believe his story I should at least give him a chance, but first I needed to go to the eye doctors and get some new contacts.
