And why should we not rely upon Allah while He has guided us to our [good] ways. And we will surely be patient against whatever harm you should cause us. And upon Allah let those who would rely [indeed] rely."
[Surah Ibrahim]
Chapter 8:
Find Yourself
"It's a monkey!"
"A baby!"
"A toy!"
"I'm pretty sure that's a kitten!"
"Where the heck does it have a face for it to resemble an animal?" Zia questioned, looking at the picture he just drew.
"See! I told you it was a baby!" His sister Sadia cheered.
"When I said it isn't an animal, it also meant it is not a domestic animal," Zia replied in exasperation.
"Oh so you mean it isn't a human or a baby?" Tammara asked, trying to analyze the drawing.
"You guys are so slow. What's the use of my artistic skills when we have such bad guessers here. Come on guys, it's simple!"
"Ok we give up, what's the answer?" Ahmed asked, bored already.
After months, all the cousins had met up at Tammara's place and right now, they were playing pictionary. And as one may have assumed, Zia was drawing on the board and bless his artistic skills, no one could figure out the word for the life of them.
"Yeah Zia, what's the answer?"
"It's a balloon! You guys are horrible," he replied pointing out to the white board.
"We always knew you were a terrible artist, we just didn't know you were this bad," Tammara replied, making a face. "How in the world is that a balloon? All you had to do was draw a circle and a string."
"That's exactly what I drew. I just added clouds and abstract designs for extra effects!" Zia justified.
"Extra effects? That cloud looked like a mop of hair and abstract designs resembled a face!"
"Not my fault that you people don't have an imagination," he teased.
"More like you lack drawing skills," his wife counter replied while Zia scowled.
"Me! Even I wanna play," their little son interrupted and Furqaan cheered him along.
"Yes Ilyas, of course you can. Have you thought of a word?" Aamina questioned.
"Yes," he giggled and stood up, grabbing a marker and heading towards the white board.
"Is that a unicorn?" His mamma asked.
"Nooooooooo."
"A rhino?"
"Nooooooooo."
"A statue?"
"Nooooooooo. Come on guys, it's simple!" He repeated his father's earlier words much to the amusement of all.
"Oh I know! It's a robot, isn't it?" Anabya answered from where she was sitting in a corner and Ilyas' eyes lighted up at her reply.
