Hey guys! So there's something I need you all to know. I honestly love you for your support and time and again feel that I've been blessed with the kindest readers alhamdulilah. I understand that it's annoying to wait for updates and it requires a lot of patience. While I understand this, you guys also need to know I'm in my final year at college, and have to do a community project and a dissertation project along with so much more work that is immeasurable. So it's either delayed updates or the book going on hold in a worst situation. Please consider this because writing on wattpad requires hours and hours and I don't have the time. Please be patient with me, Jazakumullahu khairan 💜

Some more covers attached in the end. Please vote for the ones you like :)

"And one of His signs is that He has created for you, spouses from amongst yourselves so that you might take comfort in them and He has placed between you, love and mercy. In this there is surely evidence (of the truth) for the people who carefully think."

Chapter 30:

An Eternity Ahead of Them

Walking beside Shamaaz as they made their way to the hotel, Anabya couldn't place her finger on a single moment when her life changed this drastically. Three months back she was still in University, her biggest worries being her exams.

And today, she was a wife.

Wife.

She found it amusing and intimidating at the same time as to how her life had turned out to be. Mysterious, and definitely unpredictable. When Shamaaz was new to the neighborhood, his presence always annoyed her, she remembered their first meet in the park where he had introduced himself, and she had simply brushed him aside. Funnily enough, as if him being her neighbor wasn't enough, she even saw him around in campus for the first year of University. From helping her grab the sandwich in the cafeteria, to seeing him date Mariam; from hating his existence when he read her journal to finding out that he helped her seal a place for internship, their nonexistent relationship had taken many turns.

Everyone was telling her that Shamaaz truly, truly liked her and as flattering as it was, her stomach churned unpleasantly at the thought, and she wasn't sure why. But whatever that it may have been, now that they were married, she was willing to give it her hundred percent. She'd make this work, and she only hoped that Shamaaz would do the same.

As they stepped into the suite and Shamaaz closed the door behind them, Anabya embraced her fate with a smile.

Before things could escalate to another level, Anabya suggested, "Shamaaz, could we pray two rakah Salah?"

He turned to look at her, mildly surprised. "Yeah?"

"It's not a sunnah as such, but it's a practice of the Sahabas. Besides, I want to begin our new life together with a good deed."

He smiled at her words and nodded his head, "Sure."

As he went to make wudu, she spread out two prayer mats, one behind the other. In the silence of the night, they prayed together and Anabya felt herself truly at ease for she was all the more certain now that no matter what, with Allah as her guide, she'd find her way out of every maze.

Once done, Anabya got up and took off the black cloak she had earlier put on before leaving the wedding venue, staring at herself in the mirror while doing so. Unlike in the banquet hall where Anabya's hair was knotted in a bun so the veil of her ghagra could be tied elegantly during the function, before leaving, Aamina had redone her makeup and Tam helped her with her hair, removing all the pins so she wouldn't have trouble once she was in the hotel all alone with Shamaaz.
