Noelle's POV

I walked quickly to the entrance of the hotel, The Imperial, which my friend was the proud owner of. I had decided to check up on her after finishing my morning run. Knowing her, she would still be sleeping and I planned on waking her up in my own special way. She was definitely going to hate me after this.

I greeted the doorman and entered the elevator which would take me up to her floor. Now Katherine Grace Edwards was one lucky person, not just because she owned the hotel but also because that is where she permanently lived. A twenty-eight storey building that was designed by me right in the middle of Seattle. She occupied half of the 26th floor.

There were four suites on every floor except the ones above floor 20 which only had two. These special suites were reserved for important guests, in simpler words you could say rich people. There was a gym, swimming pool, spa and all the other things an elite hotel usually has. It's very posh.

I pressed the button for the 26th floor in the elevator and waited patiently. I started walking towards her suite when the elevator doors finally opened. After punching in the security code, I silently let myself into her place. I quickly walked towards her room and opened the door.

"Wake the fuck up, you lazy slob," I yelled but abruptly stopped when I saw her tangled up with a guy in her bed. My eyes widened as I realized what I might have just walked in on.

I started walking backwards while telling them to continue whatever they were doing.

"Don't forget to use protection," was what I said before finally letting myself out.

I fished out my phone from my pocket and sent Kathy a quick text telling her to explain everything when we meet. I was about to put my phone back when my body made contact with something hard.

After regaining my balance, I quickly looked up and saw a man who was covered in tattoos. His frame was strongly built and he was quiet tall.

I stopped myself from staring at him and looked him straight in the eye.

"I am extremely sorry, I wasn't watching where I was going," I apologized.

"It's not your fault, I wasn't looking either, are you okay?" he asked.

"Yeah no harm done, are you alright?" I asked politely while I put my phone back into my pocket and straightened myself up.

"I'm fine, I'm really sorry though," he said as he looked down to his shoes, he seemed nervous.

I nodded my head and started walking towards the elevator when I felt him close behind me. That's when it hit me, he was probably living in the suite opposite Kathy's. No one was usually around on this floor except when someone was staying in the other suite. He had to be loaded as hell to be able to live in the special suites. I shrugged it off and entered the elevator. Just as the doors were about to close, he came in.

I stood there and immediately took my phone out again so that I wouldn't have to speak with him. I sneaked a glance at him and saw him standing with his hands in his pockets. Soon the doors opened and I quickly walked towards the exit without bothering to see where this man would go.
