Stephen's POV
I put some eggs and bacon on my plate before going and sitting down on one of the stools by the island, next to Rose. I grabbed a fork for myself and started eating silently, listening to Blake ramble about Caspian and the food.
"You like the breakfast, don't you?" Blake curiously asked Rose, who was talking to him and eating at the same time.
"I do, better than the mac and cheese last night," she chuckled while tucking a long strand of hair behind her ear. She looked so relaxed and content ever since we got here and it made me extremely happy. Her face had this beautiful visible glow to it and her eyes were full of this light, this place definitely did something to her. I couldn't stop staring at her. She looked so fucking gorgeous.
"Well you gotta thank me for that. Don't tell Caspian but I kinda manipulated the whole food situation. You know how he is when he's the in-charge and I barely like the food that he always ends up getting, so I maybe kinda talked my way into getting some better food? Don't say anything to him or he'll start going off," Blake spoke animatedly while stealing a piece of bacon from Rose's plate.
She smacked his hand and glared at him before shaking her head, "You expect me to thank you? With that kinda attitude? Stop stealing my food and maybe I will," she clicked her tongue before taking a bite and chewing it slowly.
"Jeez fine, my bad. You're so possessive," he rolled his eyes and leaned his elbows on the counter before crossing his arms.
"You know it," she winked at him and he laughed, "Where is he anyway? And what about Kathy and Aaron?" she pushed the plate away from her once she was done, grabbing her cup of coffee and sipping.
"They're all getting ready. Unlike us, they woke up on time," he mentioned while putting away Rose's plate in the sink and turning back to us. "Caspian's gonna throw a fit when he sees that we're still not ready," he laughed while looking just a little bit scared at the same time.
"What is Caspian's deal with the whole in-charge thing?" I asked curiously while chewing my last bite.
Blake looked at me for a second before turning to Rose, "You didn't tell him?" he asked her, looking almost horrified. Rose shook her head and shrugged with a guilty expression on her face.
I watched them both carefully, still confused about everything, "Tell me what?" I looked at Rose before switching my gaze to Blake.
Blake cleared his throat as if he was about to go on a long rant, took a deep breath and then started speaking, "Caspian has this thing with being the in-charge whenever we go somewhere on a trip or whatever, like literally he will control everything and you can't cross him otherwise he starts going off and just turns psycho," he explained. "Remember when we went to Paris?" he looked at Rose while shaking his head.
"Holy fuck, yes. How could I ever forget that?" Rose turned to look at me, "He decided all the places that we should go to and trust me, it was a lot. Every single day, he would wake us up early and then we'd go to these places, walking to most of them. We would be out till late at night and then go back to the hotel and sleep but the next day, we would have to be up early again. I swear to god all of us slept the entire flight on the way back home," she laughed towards the end and I found myself smiling at her.
"But I mean, we did have a great time in Paris and it was all because of Caspian," Blake added in and Rose nodded her head in agreement.
"Did I hear my name?" Caspian descended the stairs and walked into the kitchen where we were, looking all fresh and ready to go.
"Yeah we were talking shit about you, wanna hear?" Rose asked sarcastically and I chuckled.
"Roselle, we all know that's not true. Everybody loves me," he snorted and then looked around at us with his eyes narrowed. "Why aren't you guys ready yet? I told you we were gonna leave at noon and you're still here," he said disapprovingly while crossing his arms across his chest.
