Stephen's POV
My head immediately turned when I heard some noise from behind me. I don't know what I was expecting to see but it sure as hell wasn't Rose lying on the floor, looking lifeless.
My body instantly moved away from the equipment that I was working on and I ran to her, getting down on my knees and pulling her to me.
"Rose," I tried to shake her but she didn't move at all, "Open your eyes, love. Come on."
I quickly grabbed a bottle of water by one of the benches and took a small amount in my palm, sprinkling it on her ashen face but she never opened her eyes.
I desperately ran my hand through my hair, trying to think of what I could do. I was so fucking worried. I grabbed my phone from my gym bag and hurriedly dialed Kathy's number. It rang a couple of times before she finally answered the call.
"Kathy just listen to me alright? I need to you to call a doctor right now. I'm bringing Noelle up to your place, I don't know what happened but she passed out and she won't open her eyes. Just get help and I'll be right there with her," I spoke quickly into the phone, trying not to waste too much time.
"I can't believe this happened again. Don't worry, I'll get to it," she assured me before hanging up the phone. Again? What the hell did she mean by that?
I slipped my phone into my pocket before looking down at Rose again, "You're gonna be okay, I promise babe," I leaned down to kiss her forehead before carrying her in my arms up to Kathy's suite.
Kathy opened the door as soon as I knocked on it, moving out of the way so that I could get in. She closed the door behind me and led me to a room so that I could lay Rose down on the bed. I made sure she was comfortable with the pillows under her head before turning to face Kathy.
"How long is it gonna take?" I ran my fingers through my hair and sighed.
"He'll be here in a couple of minutes," she sat down on the couch that was in front of the bed while I sat on the edge of the bed, close to Rose.
"Kathy," I called and she looked up at me, motioning for me to continue, "You said that this happened again, what did you mean? I questioned.
She sighed, "This isn't the first time she passed out like this, it's happened before and I know exactly why it happened. She's so fucking careless, I just can't believe she did it again," she shook her head, making her short hair sway from side to side.
"Did what again?" I raised my eyebrow in confusion but before she could tell me, there was a knock on her door.
"I'll go get that," she stood up from the couch and walked out of the room, coming back in a couple of minutes along with a short bald man.
He looked at Rose and quickly got to work, checking her heartbeat and her pulse and whatnot. I was so distracted by the thoughts that were running through my head that I could barely pay any attention to what he was doing.
What actually even happened to her? She looked so pale when she passed out and what if I hadn't been there in the gym with her? No one would have known about it and no one would've bothered to help her. God only knows how long she would have been there on the floor of the gym before someone actually realized what had happened.
"Make sure she gets a lot of rest and a lot of food in her system. No strenuous activities and also, can you watch her eating habits for a couple of days? She needs to eat regular meals, her body is too weak right now. She needs some energy," the bald man listed off everything that was supposed to be taken care of before walking off with Kathy, leaving me alone in the room with Rose.
